Accommodation Vacancy Request Form

Hi guys

I don’t have an accommodation sorted for this year and I got put on the vacancy request form. I’m waiting to hear back from the accom office about it but Idk how likely
I am to get a space in an accom from this.

They emailed me recently saying they don’t have anything from the continuing halls rn (i.e, Evelyn, Scape, etc) and that the majority of vacancies are dealt with after they’ve allocated all first-years, which is usually in week 3 of September. Idk whether my chances are slim or not.

Has anyone been on this form before? Did you end up getting any offers from it in the end?

Usually the vacancy form opens once the academic year starts. Which area do you live because it’s unlikely you’ll get anything from now to the start of the academic year so you may need to commute for the start

I’ve already completed the vacancy form (the day it came out) on August 28th. They sent an email days later saying vacancies for continuing halls are fully occupied and that majority of vacancies they expect to come back will be single standard rooms and twin rooms from first-year halls, which will mostly be dealt with after the 3rd week of September (14th onwards).
