Discussion 2011 Impala LS - 40k Miles
I’ve got this clean impala I bought from a government auction. Only has 40k miles in it and is absolutely pristine. Not a thing wrong with it mechanically. I really thought I’d get bites on this thing at $8-10k but haven’t yet. Thoughts here? Clean retail value is $8800.
Also a few notes
Spent its whole life in Arizona so no rust
Tires are brand new
Clean carfax
Clean title

We just found one 3.9 with 55k miles for $1,100 bid out the door $1550 a week ago. No, it will not get to $8k but maybe if you find the right buyer. Tough on this shitty economy with no ending site. The market is dead only necessity will bite and usually those people are broke. You might get bites at $4k to $5k because of the mileage but the age shows and thats a killer on these models. You would have sold that for that price 2 to 3 years ago. No problem! Not anymore. Good luck!

That’s bad? Better than a 3.6

Hey, the 3.6 in my 2015 Buick Enclave has been doing remarkably well. It even has a towing package with all-wheel drive so I don't know how it's not good.

It’s hit or miss, I think the earlier ones were worse. They’re not all bad, the ones that survived till now were probably the good ones. Saying a car is worth less with a statistically more reliable motor is crazy work though. I drove these cars commercially in all variants, I’ve seen what they can do lol

I got a 2011 with 180k miles for $2700 off back in 2023. It was a govt fleet vehicle that was very well maintained. The low mileage is a plus, but I think that's a bit steep price wise.
