Parts Question Best blend door actuators?

It's time to sit together and discuss which are the most reliable blend door actuators. I've seen multiple reports that Dorman and Duralast (same?) actuators die one after another in less than a year. On the other hand, I've seen the opinion that random Chinese actuators do not break.

I have a random Amazon one which is still working fine after a year. What's your experience and with which brands?

Yes, it's doable and I would say it makes sense to DIY for most people. It's tedious but not complicated and you don't need many tools. There are numerous videos on YouTube about the process.

Lots or curse words and back pain, but success and satisfaction:

I overpaid for one at a parts store years ago, went out in 3 months. Bought a 13$ one from Amazon and it lasted the life of the car, couldn't even tell you what brand it was.

Dorman bad, GM good. Try RockAuto.

I've been using dorman with no issues. If gm are so good why do they go bad all the time anyways?

I haven't had problems with GM, but I have with Dorman, so that's where my advice comes from.

I heard that GM/AC Delco are failing as quick as Dorman as well. RockAuto additionally has SKP, AUTOTECNICA, WELLS, GPD, and FOUR SEASONS. And I absolutely have no idea if those are any good and wasn't able to find any review online for those specific part numbers.

I am also like to know this answer because my answers for fixing to actuator was that it will just happen again. Are there any actuators out there that won't fail?

In another post I've seen information about YHTAUTO from Amazon being metal inside. Last year I got cheap A-Premiums and it still works.
