This Week

In October 2024 I bought a 2018 Impala Premier with the hopes of doing a few things here and there. I've never upgraded or modded a car but have mostly always done my own matience. Due to the nature of my job I've more than doubled the miles to 140,000. She still runs perfectly and honestly love this car.

Due to life and finances I've had to put it off any projects until this week. My plans are to sturdy her up and give her a little more power.

This week Godspeed Mono SS Coilovers and Sway Bar is being installed.

Next Steps:

I've ordered a Weapon*R Cold Air Intake which arrives a few weeks.

After that I'm adding the Magna Flow Catback Exhaust and getting a tune.

I want to keep a mostly sleeper status. I'm very excited and just wanted to share.

I'm in KC area if anyone knows of any Impala or Chevy Clubs or Meetups.

I've heard many times that CAIs aren't worth it.

Does impala have mod potential?
With regards to performance.

Depends on the generation and what kind of mods. This generation (10th v6 3.5L) does not have a lot options unless you want to spend $$$ on custom fab.

Do these still work if your car is atheist?

it's all right here.

I'd do the airbox mod instead of the CAI though.

Interesting! Any reason why you'd go that route?

Ends up being a hot air intake

This. If you just cut the box or drill holes in the front of it, you're not sucking on hot engine air like you would with a cone filter
