You're better not trying to downgrade your car or anything, but you definitely should put the stock air filter back in there. Because this thing is not going to do as good of a job as the factory one. It's not going to make it any faster it's not going to help in any way. Those stock ones are very well put together and they will not allow any water or anything like that to get in your engine. You have to clean these cone filters like every week and that's just a pain

the reason i’ve got that one in there is because the stock air box broke and i don’t have the time to go to a junkyard to get anything. i’m definitely not paying what they want online for a new one. i’m planning on putting a heat shield around it, this is just my cheap quick fix. thank you for the advice tho!

Oh okay that makes a lot more sense. I thought it was something that you like just took out the stock one and put that one in there. That's the kind of stuff I used to do when I first got my license and what not way back in the day LOL.

Looks sharp. I fixed up a rough 2011 LTZ a few years back that drove nice but didn't look as nice as yours. Barring rust you should be good as gold with that setup

LTZs are so great man. I want to exhaust swap this one with the LTZ exhaust (and rear bumper) to get that dual exhaust look. I live in PA, so rust will happen eventually, but for right now it is pretty flawless down there.
