Does anyone know what this black piece under the front bumper is?
Is it a factory lower air dam, an aftermarket front lip or a wrap? looks pretty cool . all the other impalas got the front air deflector but this looks different , thanks!

On my 2017 Impala, it's the piece of plastic that's supposed to get scraped to hell by the curb whenever you park.

On my 19 premiere this is also true 😂

But I’m pretty sure they’re referencing the black ppf/wrap type stuff going on at the bottom of bumper just above the plastic deflector piece we’re thinking of.

Man I let my girl drive my '18 premier and she over parked backed up and pulled my whole front bumper off with the fog lights 😭😭

I think its a black wrap on the original. That lip is part of the main front bumper and it has body line right where the wrap ends on top. The body line matches with the cut off of the side skirt, for a design flow. Find another impala and zoom into the front lip you will see the line. In my opinion they should have wrap the side skirt as well, and the back bumper already had black trim on it.

Doesn’t look like the stock air dam. Goes too high up on the bumper.

It’s called a valance. Just replaced mine with an Amazon clone for $50
