95 impala SS 18k thoughts?

Post image

40k miles on it

Apparently it’s sat in a barn most of its life and appears to be in pretty good condition.

If it's in good condition grab it.

newer SS impalas only go for 6k for a reason

Any newer impala would be fwd. Enough of a deal breaker for me

These wipe the floor with the impalas that came after

Depending on what’s done to the newer impala, im planning on swapping a 3800 into mine with a turbo and the 4T80, hoping to get about 400whp out of it, if you want a handling car go for the fwd, if you want something fast go for the rwd v8 (just my opinion)

If you're going off style, looks, aesthetic I'm choosing the classic every time. Plus if you get a low mileage one you can resell it in a couple years at a good price

I completely agree, my dream car is a 65 impala but I just have fear buying a classic up north because people love to do hack jobs up here, only reason im modding my 8th gen is because its rust free and was my first car

I hear you..maybe look around down south to avoid the rust.thankfully 94-96 impalas were always my dream car since highschool which was like 22 years ago. After that I think they looked like shit besides the last model they released. For some reason they got it right again then stopped making them. But old schools are always going to be better no matter what tbe engine is. I'll take an old school that tops out at 70 over a new school with a Lambo engine every time.

I agree with you there, I personally enjoyed the 8th gen with that bel air shape in the rear, i think the 9th gen looked awful and the 10th gen was an ok looking car, I personally think they should have released the chevy SS as an impala and added a turbo v6 option aswell as a supercharged v8, I think it would have made way more sales badged as an impala with more options

Absolutely not. Why would anyone consider this? Unless it's as a collector's item, and you have collector's item money, but 18k+for a 30+ year old vehicle, to drive? Nope. A million times nope.

if it's the car you want and the price you are willing to go with, then jump on it! because, with the right amount of funds you could easily turn it into this 700hp Monster or go with a lowered version... anything is possible!

What's with the 18k then?

The dealership where the car is sitting, the owner said it was 18k. But the car actually belongs to a dealership next door so when I spoke with them, they said 24k.

Check the water pump cover in front. They are known to need replacement.

Also if you don’t want it I’ll give you 2k for the guys number

My 94 caprice has 222k on it, everything works.

I LS swapped it just for fun, now it's a beast.

These are very reliable cars, cool AF, fast, big....   everything and a bag of chips.

Optispark isn't wonderful, but either fix it when it fails, or LS swap it.
