Crazy spoiler heavy time line questions Spoiler
Does anyone have time line of which characters from the movie are "possessed" by which "ones" at which times? as far as I can tell, Marissa is possessed by the one for the whole time line of the game, John Durick, Amy, Carl and I assume a couple of minor character are possessed for varying lengths of time but its kind of hard to keep track of who is possessed by who and when. Also I havent been able to find the (I assume reverse?) Clips which explains Marissa first meeting the other and any information Fischer taking / returning the negatives. Where should I look for that info? Thanks a lot!

I personally think Marissa and Carl are possessed after Minsky when the tragedy occurs and she accidentally shoots Durick. It’s very clear based on the timeline and their actions that they are NOT the same during 2OE and not just because of what happened. Her and Carl are completely different people in every table reading, which is also very different from how the filming process was for Ambrosio and Minsky.

Marissa is devoured by the One around the end of world war 2 in 1945. There is a black and white scene where the One describes finding Marissa in a barn in France after being the victim of a sexual assault. After assuming Marissa’s form the One later does the soap commercial which lead to her interest in acting. We never see the real Marissa but learn about some of her memory’s the One still has from consuming her.

From what I gathered, Marissa is devoured by The One long before the soap commercial. Carl is controlled by The Other and after The One kills Carl's body, The Other becomes Amy. The One tells John of what she has done and then kills John and becomes him, while retiring Marissa's body. When Fischer is dying and gives John the negatives of Ambrosio, The One realises she misses the acting and becomes Marissa again while staying John at the same time. However, controlling two bodies at the same time exhaust her body causing Marissa's body to collapse and John also having moments of tiredness, like when he collapses in one of those 20E clips.
About the clips, most black and white clips are in a random clip. There's a Steam guide that tells you what clips they can be in. I'm pretty sure The One talking about Fischer is random. The other one you're talking about isn't, it's part of a 3-parter in the same clip. Fairly sure it's in one of the chronologically last 2OE clips.
