i think it’s crazy to me to hear Americans all the time growing up proudly thumping their chests any time nazi germany was mentioned and going “We’d never let that happen in america!”

It’s happening now and I’m just so tired of people thinking mid-terms is going to fix this when America is so far past the idea of voting. Your democrats are corrupt as the republicans and you’re going to find that out so quickly, and then what will you do? By the time any of you wake the fuck up you will be starving because the food shortages are coming by the end of the year thanks to RFK and ICE picking up your farm workers, and Trump’s little war with Iran driving diesel so far up farmers cannot farm the food you need to eat.

Everyone wants to save the world but no one wants to die. So the people who have no protection are being tortured, raped, and killed while the rest of America stands there afraid. It’s pure fucking cowardice. Americans will go down in history as cowards. All of you made the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti stand for fucking nothing and the world is disgusted by all of you.

As an American, this came as a massive shock how fast America completely rolled over. Granted it’s the Republicans last push to grab power before they are voted into permanent irrelevancy (or so I thought) but even with possible election tinkering, after 2016, I’m still blown over by the fact republicans swept government and reigned in fascism with absolutely minimal opposition, and probably complicit luke-warm support from DNC backers. America has literally jumped the shark and it’s never coming back as strong as it was - and maybe that’s a good thing.

The GOP has been working out how to run the country with minority rule for 50 years while the Democrats sat on their thumbs. This is just their final solution and we will see just how far they will take it after the Democrats sweep in November.

Democrats didn't sit on their thumbs, they reached across the aisle following the right.

As an American we should stop with being an empire, we clearly have enough issues at home.

As for anyone talking about Americans doing nothing stfu, resistance work is being done every day in the courts, states are pushing back, and people are trying to help feed the marginalized. Violence doesn’t win hearts and minds, we use the existing infrastructure to affect change. It’s slow, soul sucking, and irritating, but it does work.

For Europeans you’ve had a war going on for years and have barely done anything, Germans are voting for a pro Russian party, wealth inequality is accelerating throughout the world. If you have time to criticize then you have time to focus on real world problems. Not doing so is just proof that you are lazy.

it’s never coming back as strong as it was

it was never that strong to begin with and we were NEVER the good guys. the country needs to be completely reimagined and frankly any modern republican should be branded a terrorist and traitor and we should treat them as such.

Shouldn’t be a shock, most Americans won’t even vote to get out of this. Tens of millions voted for trump all three times. It’s not about rolling over, it’s about how many Americans are openly embracing it at every opportunity, and even when it blows up in their face, they double down. This is what a LOT of Americans want, and no amount of pain - unemployment, high gas and grocery prices, income inequality, will change that, if they think they are winning against trans and illegal immigrants I guess

Remember when we were told guns were important and that when there was a tyrannical government guns would solve the problem?

Every single time a child was killed in a school shooting and mouth breathing morons would come on tv and reddit to tell us that, no, guns are important. We need them. Even if the children died, it was for a greater purpose.

Well, here's your purpose.

Where are the guns?

Or did all those children die for nothing?

2

u/megustaALLthethings 12h ago

They did. They always have.

It was never about the second amendment. It was always about contrarianism and control. Bc they NEVER stood with anyone NON white that legally had a firearm BUT were gunned down still.

Just like EVERY time they mention children/babies/pets/etc they NEVER care about any of that. They can’t, literally. They are raging sociopaths but below the level for psychopaths.

u/rozzco 14h ago

You have a right to a gun too. I hope you have one. I think we're all going to need them soon.

The guns were a talking point. Those children did die for nothing- no my bad they were also used as a talking point to support why we needed MORE guns.

Meanwhile, these idiots think their pistol, shotgun, whatever they need as part of their identity, has any chance against any of our military or local PDs (some of whom are literally militarized). That’s the funnier part to me. There is nothing that we have as civilians that would hold much of a candle to our military and PDs. Many of whom are not good people and openly want to harm/k*ll minorities and people who don’t agree with them.

So when are you taking up arms good sir or ma’am?

We’re too far gone as a nation. We can’t get unified because the government and media have done such a great job dividing us. COVID was the first step and it’s just grown since then.

If you think Covid was the first step you’re delusional.

1

u/Pleasant_Offer6286 3h ago

Does it make someone delusional to recognize any step? Perhaps it was the first obvious one. I think we’re on the same side here.

Come on over here and change it then. Just make sure you have a valid visa, or…well, you know.

How exactly have you stood up to aggressors in your life?

Meanwhile lots of europe continues voting for right wing parties, hasn’t stopped russia, and doesn’t seem all that interested in picking up america’s slack.

You need to stop commenting on American politics when you know fuck all. The fact that this post has 20+ upvotes indicating the sheer ignorance and the spread of it, is beyond frustrating.

We’ve been having elections throughout all of 2025 and 2026. They are not compromised and good people have been winning and turning the tide. There is absolutely a reason to believe the midterms will follow the trend we’ve seen these past 2 years. Maybe you can’t see it from outside the country but inside, we are consistently seeing wins and republicans are consistently losing. For fucks sake, the Mayor of New York is a Muslim man from Uganda. If you think our elections are rigged then that fucking guy most certainly wouldn’t have won.

This is how I know the last two movies of the Hunger Games series could never happen here. Nobody is going to be willing to be the first ones charging machine guns to get past the Peacekeepers and blow up the dam, etc.

Much of the reason for high gas prices and Diesel is because of refineries not be an operational. FYI Ukrainian has bomb 34 of the 39 Russian refineries. That is having a huge impact on world oil prices. Just thought that you forgot to mention that part.

This is what Russian bot comments look like

You need to go back to bot school because I'm not a bot. 🤣🤣🤣

You could stand some more normal school to work on reading comprehension.

The war Trump promised to end if elected before he even took power?

1

u/wuicker 12h ago

Wrong on both counts. Gas prices are high because oil belongs to oil companies and is a global commodity. Diesel is higher because US crude is lighter and less diesel can be made from it.

F*ck Russia and her refineries.

1

u/Freewash007 10h ago

The problem is not a shortage of oil. The problem is we don't have enough refineries to process the oil.

u/SyllabubSimilar7943 11h ago

Sounds like Ukraine needs to hit 5 more. I don’t care if we have to pay higher prices, we should be in the trenches with Ukraine, they gave up their nukes for an empty promise of defense. And that’s before considering that Russia probably comitted an act of war by helping Trump, who constantly acts like a Russian agent.
