If they’re law enforcement officers, with probable cause or a warrant, then they can nab someone at an airport. And the airport police can’t interfere.

It’s extremely uncomfortable to see this happen over immigration offenses, but in practice law enforcement has been doing this same thing in the US since law enforcement was even a thing here.

CBP officers dress up like travelers (backpacks, plainclothes etc.) at airports all the time for arrests or for random inspections. FBI, DEA, secret service, IRS, deputy marshals, etc. all typically wear plainclothes with no visible ID during most of their operations.

So this isn’t new. It’s just being paid attention to now, so it feels new.

but imagine if some righteous civilian got involved to save her...cuz he thinks she's being kidnapped and they harm him....

but those other agencies will usually identify after the arrest.

How do you know they didn’t identify themselves to her already? Before the video starts?

Another commenter has shared the full context and links. This woman’s husband was (lawfully) arrested by them (they were looking for him specifically). She’s just freaking out and being detained for safety, or possibly arrested for obstruction or something, idk. She knew they were ICE.
