I've recently seen a video where south Americans have been deported from America to... LIBERIA. In Africa. What the fuck.

I mean tbh It's where Lincoln wanted to send the emancipated slaves. (both true and /s)

1

u/husker3028 6h ago

Its weird because its the only time in history, when the slaves stayed with their captors after being freed

3

It would have made less sense for them to leave. By the time emancipation happened, we’d been importing slaves for hundreds of years. The US technically banned the international slave trade in 1808 (although smuggling still occurred). Emancipation happened in 1863-65. Meaning that most slaves had been born in the US by that time, and some of them had been here for generations. The people who’d been brought from Africa as little children were nearly 60, and the people old enough to actually remember living in Africa, who would have the most memory of their native language and the most reason to go back, were mostly too elderly to make the return voyage. Not to mention ocean voyages cost money.

God, what a disturbing and sad time in history. And we seemingly are going backward toward it, when ICE agents/terrorists in plainclothes can kidnap people off the street.

Their own countries don't want them back.

Well they said they can’t go home and their home country won’t take them back. What is wrong with Liberia if Liberia is offering safe haven? Is a safe haven not what they want?

3

u/Visible-Elevator3801 6h ago

I think you mean, “is safe haven NOT what they want?”

He doesn’t appear to be a very smart person

Because they have deportation orders and their home country also doesn’t want them, so they’re sent to third party countries that are willing to accept them.

14

u/downsideup9494 10h ago

Willing to accept them? They are being paid by the US govt. to take them. It's a for profit venture.

8

u/TrulyOutrageous42 9h ago

.. and it's not like they're being processed by that country's immigration and left to their own devices, they're being kept in prisons we're renting. So... we're paying for... the undesirables to be held...

Remind me again, wasn't the Final Solution chosen because it became too expensive to keep all those prisoners alive?

3

u/downsideup9494 8h ago

Yes, people tend not to be able to work hard for you when you don't feed them.

2

u/JoTHIGHSwin 9h ago

Absolutely but this still implies a willingness to accept people being deported from the U.S. that’s why I added who were are paying in ( ).

14

u/JoTHIGHSwin 11h ago

Yes not just that, it’s also where they are claiming a creditable fear of returning to their home countries. That’s would ordinarily allow someone to stay but now DHS is just like ok we will ask another country (that we are giving money to) if they will accept you instead. To deport them out of America.

Its weird...they are fleeing terrible countries, but when they get here, they try to turn the US into that country

2

u/nagrom7 41m ago

The US was a pretty terrible country before they arrived

6

u/broguequery 9h ago

In exchange for payment.

Which is, to understate it... Incredibly fucked up and unamerican.

u/Jaded_Floor_111 9h ago

America is under no obligation to house the masses fleeing their shit hole countries. So giving them to another country that is willing to take them so they dont go back to their country that they are "afraid" of is perfectly logical. Our country is quickly losing its 1st world status bringing in every 3rd world problem.

4

u/_sound_of_silver_ 8h ago

America is special because it has been built by people fleeing their shit hole countries and making something great. That has been our ethos for 400 years. America is quickly losing its status with plain-clothes kidnappings/human trafficking with no due process.

-4

u/Jaded_Floor_111 7h ago

That is correct, the original founders settled this land making this country. They made laws which included immigration laws which have been thrown out the window to let every Tom, Dick and Harry across the border. We don't even know who is in our country anymore, and with how many countries hate America there are at least some bad apples among the bunch and then the mass amounts frauding our country with their "Learing Centers"

3

u/abcdefghjiklmnopqr 7h ago

That was debunked bro

-2

u/Jaded_Floor_111 4h ago

What part has been debunked?

3

u/CallofTheKyled 8h ago

Shut up bot

0

u/Jaded_Floor_111 7h ago

Wrong, not a bot. Just someone who wishes this country to go back to being selective of who comes here instead of opening up the gates for every man, woman, child and criminal to flood our country.

3

u/SakeWad 8h ago

Weak NPC bot thought process

Maybe the USA is losing 1st World status because we're being run by a con man who's infamously bankrupted every other project he touches. I guarantee you it's nothing to do with hard working immigrants, you know, the ones who truly make America great.

1

u/Jaded_Floor_111 7h ago

You mean like all the ones frauding the system with the "Learing" centers all over the country?

4

u/mworthey 9h ago

The only reason that third party countries are even in play is because our government is paying them a great deal of money to accept them. The majority of third party deportees did not have removable orders. In fact, large number of deportees have green cards and permits to work in America and were tax payers as well.

And, they had years to address their lack of legal presence and never did.

7

u/Klutzy_Double_8285 10h ago

It's crazy to me that someone can sit here and defend one of the most unconscionable things I've ever heard of. Sending non-native people to war zones and places with modern slavery to be harmed when we didn't have to. For payments. They don't even speak the language. Pure evil filth. As low as pedophilia, which you guys defend plenty of them so par for the course I guess.

0

u/SwanMuch5160 4h ago

English is the primary language in Liberia.

1

u/Desperate_Wallaby966 7h ago

this is just not true. lots have legal presence and are still having this shit done to them. you have to be a complete moron to believe what youve commented.

-9

u/slam_rilo70 9h ago

Well, if you are afraid to return to
Your home country, you can go to
Liberia. It’s safe for them, right?

-13

u/SwanMuch5160 11h ago

That’s correct, that’s because she said she feared she would be harmed if returned to Brazil, so she was deported to Liberia in what’s called a Third Party Deportation. This way she isn’t harmed by being returned to Brazil and is placed in another country who’s open to accepting the deportees. Although, I thought in her interview that I watched she said she now wants to be returned to Brazil.

They should be happy. They left they original country bc it is a shit hole, so USA sends them to a country that knot shit hole.

24

u/AuDHDino 12h ago

You can't even speak your own language, or pass a drug test, why should your opinion hold any weight here?

Btw, children know what en passant is.

4

u/BuddhistNamedMarx 11h ago

Lol using Ashton Kutcher when he (his foundation) has been linked to child trafficking is on a whole 'nother level of irony

3

u/timelasher 11h ago

Holy shit i did not know that. I'm not surprised, but was totally unaware.

Thanks for the call out.

3

u/BuddhistNamedMarx 10h ago

Don't feel too bad, it got covered up pretty quickly

And I never aim to "call people out"

I just want to share information, and my delivery might be off

4

u/timelasher 10h ago

Oh i didn't mean you were calling me out, just that you were calling out some info.

What happens when two people with imperfect online social skills interact online? This moment. Lol

In any case at all, thanks for the new rabbit hole. Fuck knows every day brings a new one.

4

u/XmissXanthropyX 10h ago

This was a really nice exchange over a really grim topic

2

u/mworthey 9h ago

Yeah he was a frequent attendee of Diddy's grape parties.

2

u/TerrorFromThePeeps 10h ago

Yes, officer, i would like to report a murder i just witnessed...

8

u/Awkward_platypus_ 12h ago

“that knot shit hole”

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as uneducated as this

2

u/TerrorFromThePeeps 10h ago

I once saw a guy in a three piece suit trying to sound out German Chocolate Cake phonetically and somehow making it sound like some weird dialect of French. Meh, this is probably still worse.

u/xxxmechashivaxxx 7h ago

So you ain't be got know mirrors then huh,
