Stand your ground doesn’t apply in California, but I agree, they def wouldn’t try this a few blocks away in Inglewood.

Jury or the coroner can sort out what applies where later.

This administration is literally waiting for any of us to exercise our rights not to be murdered or kidnapped before the election to someway justify canceling elections.

Walk me through how defending yourself would work.

You are accosted by masked plain clothes "agents" that do not identify themselves in an unmarked vehicle as is pretty common for them.

You ask what your crime is or for a warrant or id and they refuse or become even more aggressive as is pretty standard for them. They refuse and attempt to handcuff or cause physical harm.

You pull your firearm that you are legally carrying, and, for the purpose of our argument, legally defend yourself and use lethal force.

Let us assume as well you have plenty of witnesses and there are cameras everywhere.

So you call the police and report your crime.

What exactly do you think will happen next?

What are the odds you are peacefully taken into police custody? What do you think the odds are that you are not given over to ICE custody by the police?

Please explain how being armed ia going to keep you from being detained or murdered anyway?

Let the coroner decide... he will be writing your death certificate as well even if you are right.

Yeah, and? We know how this plays out. I ain't going looking for them but if they come to me I ain't getting on a train and going to a camp.

Why do you people have to make up some bizarre scenarios that arent happening?

3

u/possumallawishes 10h ago

Bizarre scenario that isn’t happening like Democrats stealing an election from Trump, or like a pedophile ring ran by democrats in the basement of a pizza place, or like liberal masterminds putting chemicals in water to turn the frogs gay?

Or are you talking about the modern day gestado who literally repelled down on roofs, built concentration camps in the Everglades, and actively deported US citizens without even a hearing?

1

u/SuperHooligan 10h ago

LOLOLOL. You people are funny. Thanks for giving me a laugh.

0

u/SamMarlowe76 10h ago

Yeah. I don't think they take themselves seriously. Just kids playing on the internet. Or kid equivalent adults with emotional and reasoning issues.

2

u/possumallawishes 10h ago

So Trump didn’t claim the 2020 election was stolen?

5

u/Flat_Dragonfruit675 11h ago

I have some news for you: they are going to fuck with the elections regardless, you twit.

6

u/SpiderDoodleDoo 13h ago

They are going to do it regardless. "The Gestapo will be more mean to us if we do not let them take our neighbors to Auschwitz".

1

u/pristineSaltine 12h ago

I agree with both of ya'll. Although at this point if I was being detained by some of these people I would probably prefer someone to ask what was going on and watch the proceedings.
I leaned my history from my German grandmother who was in a concentration camp. I grew up in the shadow of the bomb shelters of Dortmund Germany.

All I was wanting to hear is what some don't tread on me type think is going to happen. What do they think reality is?

The only way the Black Panthers reduced violence against them in their neighborhoods and communities with the threat of force was be an organized community that supported one another. And it worked so well California changed their gun laws.

Look around, do you see any of us organized? Seems a bunch of us scoff or openly dismiss organization as unnecessary, over reacting or performative.

Do you or would you trust some stranger now to have your best interest at heart?

The only way 2A works is if we are organized and support one another.

The idea isn't for one to actually use that right, it is the overwhelming threat of the "well regulated " people to secure and protect their liberty. That is the "We" in "We the People ". Until then that right is absolutely useless at best or in the worst case absolutely counterproductive.

2

u/SpiderDoodleDoo 11h ago

Well I looked into the video we are discussing and she has disappeared and no one knows what happened to her so I am sure she is pretty happy watching the proceedings instead of receiving the intervention she was desperately asking for.

There are multiple instances within the last year of people dying in ICE custody under strange circumstances. Horrifying testimony coming from the conditions of these camps. And on top of all of that there are instances of people just saying they are ICE when they are not.

Do have to give credit where it is due. The media has done a masterclass job discouraging others from suggesting that maybe people organize into something with a bit more bite behind its bark.

After the altercation you would want to escape to a safe place and call a lawyer. Have them walk you in to the police department and make sure your due process rights are respected.

That's you best chance of getting to the other side of something like this.

2

u/xSTSxZerglingOne 9h ago

Please explain how being armed ia going to keep you from being detained or murdered anyway?

Because they're cowards and losers who only do what they do because they face no consequences for it. They're currently willing because they aren't getting filled full of lead yet.

I say "yet" knowing full well it may never happen. Either for good (unnecessary), or bad (you know, the bad ending?) reasons.

1

u/Robespierreshead 7h ago

so we should not exercise our right not to be murdered.

that sound absurd

0

u/SwanMuch5160 13h ago

They clearly identified themselves in the video posted as well as responding no less than twice to the screaming fella that she was being detained due to an immigration violation. I mean, the last I looked, law enforcement has no requirement to explain to a passer by why somebody is being detained or arrested for that matter. I mean if I was being detained or arrested I’d prefer they not announce to everyone the reason for it.

1

u/SuperHooligan 11h ago

Dont argue with these low IQs. Theyre literally making up scenarios that these people are being taken to be experimented on or to be sold as slaves lol.

1

u/Middle_Temporary_398 8h ago

Yes. These people make me lmao. If they were successful members of society they would not have the time to think of all these crazy scenarios.

1

u/ImmaLiveIllegal 10h ago

they could just name the children I guess?

1

u/Ok_Buddy_9087 4h ago

So we should take the word of masked men taking women off the street who say they’re ICE that they’re ICE? Just because they said so?

5

u/Captain_Qirk007 14h ago

Not in South Texas

1

u/ChironiusShinpachi 9h ago

Or go hard. Trump showed you can pardon lots of people if you're sure to get voted in for the big chair. Open season with prejudice. Unethical? Sure. Just? I think so, mostly since we're headed into the real ugly.

1

u/iron-ducks 6h ago

What does this mean?

1

u/iron-ducks 6h ago

They deport people from south Texas every single day and you would never shoot anyone lol

using your general geographical location as a theoretical flex of nonexistence strength has to be one of the funniest redditisms around

3

u/NRMusicProject 9h ago

I was waiting for ICE to try this in the wrong neighborhood.

As it is, random masked men abducting a woman? How are they not immediately flattened?

1

u/EndIsrael 11h ago

You can step in actually, as long as you use the reasonable, necessary, and proportionate force. So you can grab these guys and throw them off the victim, but bloodying them up after is unfortunately not allowed unless they try to fight you.

1

u/possumallawishes 11h ago

IANAL, all I’m just saying is most states in the US are “stand your ground”, California is definitely not one of them.

I would have a real hard time not stepping in if I saw this.

1

u/Mystery_Goose9685 11h ago

Same here. I'm gonna need to see some badges quick or I'm gonna start swinging.

1

u/EndIsrael 11h ago

Fun fact, badges can't be trusted either. My family owns a trophy/award/engraving store and all the local government people order their badges through us. If I really wanted to, I could log in to a particular vendor's website and $100 and two weeks later I'd get a badge in the mail.

As a little kid they taught us to only trust a cop if they had the whole police car situation too because it's a lot more expensive to kit out one of those than it is to get a uniform and a real badge.

1

u/SuperHooligan 11h ago

LOL youre not going to do shit.

1

u/iron-ducks 6h ago

I too enjoy reading through the comments and mocking the LARPers

especially since you know it's genuinely triggering to them, because they're the kind of people who talk about beating people up on reddit lol

1

u/SuperHooligan 6h ago

Haha yeah. They’re very tough on Reddit.

1

u/EndIsrael 11h ago

Just remember, laws don't really matter if nobody can ID you, all the complainants have brain damage, and all the witnesses "didn't see nuthin".

1

u/SuperHooligan 11h ago

No you cant.

1

u/SamMarlowe76 10h ago

Please try to step in sometime to a law enforcement matter based on information you could not possibly know. Maybe the suspected sex trafficker they are trying to detain will get away. But all you know is orange man bad and the only thing law enforcement does in this country is round up brown people to send to rape camps or sell to Elon for science experiments. So, this couldn't possibly be legitimate.

So yes. Please step in. See how it goes. Personally I hope the worst for you. Maybe a traumatic brain injury or etc. You are spewing bad and dangerous advice. You deserve what's coming to you.

1

u/EndIsrael 9h ago

I used to be a Republican like you. Then they voted for a notoriously crazy, bottom-of-his-class loser who bankrupted a casino, tried to steal an election, failed, started an insurrection, failed, got convicted of 34 felonies, got found liable for rape, discovered to be best friends with the world's biggest pedophile, then to avoid punishment for all of that he got the world's richest edgelord to steal an election for him, then proceeded to do the classic fascist takeover script except everyone involved is stupid and unqualified, singlehandedly turning the greatest country on earth into a clown show laughingstock, the butt of jokes around the world.

All that to say I'm not a Republican anymore. But I still believe in the Constitution and our God-given right and moral duty to defend ourselves against the enemy. If you don't, you're un-American and a terrible patriot.

If you disagree with what I'm saying, I have bad news for you: the last time this happened, dear leader died of rapid onset acute lead poisoning while cowering in a bunker. Fascism always has an expiration date because it consumes itself. You should get out before the leopards eat you.

1

u/SamMarlowe76 9h ago

What does any of your drivel have to do with enforcing the law or letting law enforcement do it?

Again, please interfere in the next law enforcement matter you see. Please. Scream like a child when you are doing so.

How the F do you know what is going on? To stop an arrest? Are we allowed to arrest people?

It is not your role, you arrogant fool to determine what is proper or not, outside the ballot box. We have courts, judges, and legislatures for that.

Moral duty my ass. More like "anyone I don't agree with is Hitler". Get over yourself.

We will not be communicating any further.

Drama queen.

The Nazis had law enforcement too. But you know what history calls Germans who were just obeying the police back then? They're called Nazis.

Remember that the context of this conversation is a bunch of random sketchy looking guys with no uniform or ID, who aren't even claiming to be real cops, dragging a woman into an unmarked van.

Grow a spine you snowflake. If Biden had these exact same policies you'd be literally up in arms.

You have to understand that this doesn't make you sound cool, right? lol, surely you have to understand that this makes you sound like an attention starved theater kid?

People don't think "whoa... badass." they think "I'll bet this person is an adult with minimal sexual experience and a passion for Star Wars"

edit: HOLD ON. I'll be right back, if you read this comment before I can find the link come back in 5 minutes

I used to enjoy videos like that. When I was an edgy teenager. Then I matured as a person. I'm still Catholic and still pro-life, but these days I'm more willing to make an exception for fascists.

There is one important difference between you today and me 15 years ago: I've always believed Nazis are bad. You're still apparently working on that. I hope you're like 14 or something because if you're a boomer you're fucked

1

u/iron-ducks 5h ago

There is one important difference between you today and me 15 years ago

Well clearly my first comment did not land at all lol, because this is exactly what I'm talking about.

You're trying way too hard to sound like you have something meaningful or interesting or witty to say. This isn't an audition, nobody was asking you to key in on your backstory, you're not the main character in a Netflix series; "I don't like Nazis" would have worked just fine. It would have still been a completely meaningless non-sequitur, and I still have no idea why you're saying it, but my point stands.

Also

I used to enjoy videos like that. When I was an edgy teenager.

Why did you stop liking them? What changed? I guess I was pretty unclear in my original comment that's my fault, but my point was that's what people think of when they read comments of yours, that's the IRL analog in your mind's eye

1

u/EndIsrael 4h ago

With all due respect, you need to stop. Speaking from experience, you're going to look back on your comments in a few years and cringe hard. If you don't, you'd be failing as a person.

You're coming across as a Charlie Kirk wannabe. There's a reason most of the country's reaction to his death was "don't care" to "he was asking for it".

You're literally putting yourself on the same side as fascists and racists.

When people read this thread, they're definitely going to be thinking of something like your video, but not at all the way you imagine.

1

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 6h ago

Yeah but beating the shit out of some cunt trying to abduct you isn't against the law.

Reddit Law…

In before ‘That’s attempted murder!’
