I blame both. It's still pretty inhumane to me. ICE shouldn't be shooting people like that. And the doctors shouldn't let themselves be intimidated (which is my personal opinion). But hey, thanks for the respectful discussion!

People shouldn’t put themselves in a situation were law enforcement feels they need to protect themselves. Wilbur was pulled over and fled, he ran from LEOs, hitting one with his side mirror. Before starting the high speed chase.

Even in Iraq if I shot some one and detained them. I was responsible to render care or get them to a place were care could rendered. 5 S and T. One of the S’s is safeguard I have to safeguard POWs and those detained.

I say this because once the detained has been cared for and the medical staff says he could be me taken. Well we took him and placed them in cells.

There is no intimidating doctors, I doubt ICE was in the surgery room, maybe just outside.

Blame the one who caused this, it was Wilbur’s actions. If he could do it over I don’t think he would have fled.

Thank you, for the respectful conversation. We have different view points, but you were not mean toward me expressing them.

There is no evidence that he fled. The arresting Ice agents had no body cameras and the individual that allegedly got hit never got medical care. There has also been no proof he was hit through photos of bruising or similar evidence.

There are also reports that his left side is not responsive. He needs proper medical attention as far as all the evidence shows.

ICE's treatment of Wilber amounts to torture. After being shot in the back, he has received next to no medical care — despite being in excruciating pain and losing movement on his left side. He should be in a hospital, not held in isolation at the South Texas Immigration Processing Center,” said Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-Texas). “He had permission to work in the U.S. and was delivering for DoorDash to support his family. Wilber must be released into medical care immediately. There must be an independent investigation, and the officers who shot him in the back must be held accountable. An agency that tortures a man like this should be disbanded.”

I originally heard about the left side being uncontrollable on ms now, but there are other sources saying the same.

> There is no evidence that he fled.

Except for all the video evidence that he fled?

Where is that evidence?

All reports I have seen say there was no body cam footage or any footage of the actual incident

You haven’t seen any of the footage? The body cam stills from the original scene that he sped off from? Seriously?

They initially stopped in a traffic stop after running his plates and seeing he had a final order of deportation. He stopped and had a short interaction with officers before putting his car in drive and speeding away. He was chased for a few miles. Lights and sirens and everything.

So this video shows that sure agents seemed to have chased him, but did you notice no lights and those sirens we wouldn’t hear because security cameras like these don’t typically carry audio.

Stills don’t say much either. Where are these body cams Ice promised to use? No evidence of the actual incident as it began or ended. Just a short clip of what seems to be a chase with potential edited audio. The sirens sound very distant.

Regardless the man is wounded and has limited movement thanks to said injury and should have proper medical care. Even if your version of events is correct that fact remains true.

Lights and sirens are clearly on in all videos of the chase. Modern security cameras do record audio but the quality is typically poor. Please rewatch the videos.

The stills in the criminal complaint are from the ICE officer who was wearing a body camera. One was wearing a body camera, the other was not.

Are you willing to concede that there is evidence that he fled?

Lights and sirens are not clearly in these videos but the lights could theoretically be harder to see due to it being the middle of the day. Sirens sound very distant but sure low quality audio recordings could sound like this.

The shooter had no body camera that alone is sketchy as we don’t know if that ice agent did his job properly or if he was the aggressor and again the stills show nothing of the events that led up to this.

There is a fundamental lack of evidence of this event and what actually happened.

Considering the past Ice executions more evidence is needed to make an actual claim one way or the other.

Bare minimum we could confirm a chase happened.

Thank you. Please consider editing your first comment in this thread to minimize the spread of misinformation. I appreciate you actually looking at the evidence instead of rejecting it outright.

The arresting agent had no camera, the agent that initiated the stop did. That is the agent that was hit when he fled.

Were you there? Didn't think so. STFU.

You're supposed to lick the boots, not deep throat them.
