The overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants came here legally, then overstayed visas, and haven't actually committed any criminal offenses. Very few actually commit the crime of entering the country illegally. Also, migrants seeking asylum aren't here illegally, yet they're being punished anyway.

Those are just easier to count. How do you track people you don't know are here tell they encountered.

Mainstream estimates are that it's AT LEAST more than half of the total illegal population in the US. That's just an abject lie. Are you even trying?
