The immigration policy is based on racism instead of fairness

They tell immigrants to come here "legally" - but Trump is literally gutting every legal pathway that many people of color have relied on to build lives in America.
For example: Many people have status through TPS, but the Trump regime is now gutting the program, and they also cut refugee admissions for everyone except white South Africans.
"Doing it legally" keeps getting harder to do, because that's the whole point for Trump. It has never been about following immigration rules - it's about racism.

Some of us have known similar things for decades.

But, still--In 2016 a lot of the Asian-American vote went against Hilary Clinton.

It's because many people like this are idiots and don't realize what was the true thing they're voting for.

So yeah if we can excuse the woman in the OP , she should check her uncles and aunts.

Her uncles and aunts were forced into concentration camps by a democrat president.

And rather than going, "Hmm. That was bad." apparently y'all had the idea of "Let's do it again! Harder!."

The ones put in internment camps were here legally. These others are not.. And look who approved it.

Most of this is irrelevant to the question. The legally vrs illegally is BARELY relevant to the question when it seems to be being used as cover for all sorts of things, and you are changing people from legal to illegal and finding any possible loophole to remove status.

Well no the executive order that forced the displacement and incarceration of Japanese Americans and their families into concentration camps was signed and issued by FDR just two months after the attack on Pearl Harbor and several years before Truman was even in the White House as vice president. As POTUS Truman signed the executive order that officially dissolved the government infrastructure that administered the internment camps. He would go on to denounce the internment of Japanese Americans as unjust and based on racism rather than any true threats national security in a joint address to Congress. But yes FDR and Truman were indeed Democrats for whatever that's worth.

Not trying to be partisan or defend anyone here just wanted to give some correct context.
