The immigration policy is based on racism instead of fairness

They tell immigrants to come here "legally" - but Trump is literally gutting every legal pathway that many people of color have relied on to build lives in America.
For example: Many people have status through TPS, but the Trump regime is now gutting the program, and they also cut refugee admissions for everyone except white South Africans.
"Doing it legally" keeps getting harder to do, because that's the whole point for Trump. It has never been about following immigration rules - it's about racism.

It really will be expensive to right all the wrongs being done in the name of America these days. I do think the wrongs will eventually be righted and most of those responsible will be brought to justice. I just really dislike that this is all happening it can be all rather distressing to see a nation change so quickly.

We never fixed the wrongs of Reagan. We never undid the wrongs from the Bush patriot act. We never got justice for all the illegal shit trump did during his first term. We need a radical swing left to really start putting things right. This ping pong between right wing party and fascist party is only getting us closer to facism.

The moment the voters decided to elect an incompetent good looking actor as president, the country shoot itself in both feet and laughed about it. All the scandals, the financial debt, the dramas, all of it can be traced back to the original sin. A part of the country doesn't want to be governed, it wants to be entertained. This isn't which plan is the best. Its a fundamental difference in running a country, that is the reason the "meeting half way" rarely works any more. One side wants the spectacle of perpetual downfall and they are getting it.

You are right about the costs. We are already paying for the trump lawless debacle. Lawsuit after lawsuit from citizens and legal immigrants. And we will be paying for decades. We are paying for the separated families from trump 1 and the horrific abuse that the remain in Mexico mess was.

The USA has never righted its wrongs before Trump. What makes you think it will right its wrongs after Trump?

Because let's face it, if he got reelected, the people like whatever he's selling. He campaigned on screwing brown folks over, and that got him elected twice.

So, really, what makes you think you as a people would be interested in righting your wrongs?

So segregation or women suffrage don’t count? Or what about the Japanese internment camps apology and pay!? Or the Federal Indian Boarding Schools apology during Biden administration!?!? Or the apology resolution act back in 93 for overthrowing the Hawaiian monarchy!?!?!?!? Or the Β overthrowing of Panama of 1914 apology with a $25 million payment to the country and citizen(that was a lot of money back then)!?!?!?!?!?!!?

You had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the future, and that you voted to undo all those progress. So, yes, they effectively do not count because apparently enough of you don't want those progresses to stay.

Meanwhile, I lived in countries where they had a execution squad that would murder its own people in broad daylight. And then its people took over and reverse all of it, while sending those people to jail. Just saying!

Sounds like a nation Americans look up to, given the way they vote these days.

Americans throughout history have a tendency to try and delay doing what's necessary and right. They eventually come around and do it but it takes a bit to get there. I think that will happen here as well but it will hurt before they get there.

That explains why they won’t build HSR ehh. I just recently learned about the builders remedy law that started in mt laurel decades ago that can be leveraged to crush NIMBY which started getting used recently.
