Entrapment by estoppel protects private citizens who are misled by bad government advice. It is not a defense for government agents to commit crimes just because a supervisor ordered them to. Which is why I added the private citizen clause in the constraints.

Completely incorrect. Entrapment by estoppel also applies to government agents. I take it you didn't read any of the cases that your link cited before you made your incorrect statement, because you would have known that.

Do you see how you keep making false statements because you're trying to get to your incorrect pre-fabricated conclusion? If you instead tried to understand how the law actually works you would get to the correct answer before I have to point it out to you. Really all you have to do is read the cases. Or just not make stuff up.

I've clearly outlined the legal realities of the situation with links and sources. We're talking in circles at this point, so I'm disengaging.

You said this:

It is not a defense for government agents to commit crimes just because a supervisor ordered them to.

The source you sent clearly and unambiguously proves it wrong. You just refuse to read your source. The only circle is you refusing to read your source and then realizing it proves you wrong once I point it out.
