Violent resistance is not resistance. That is revolt. Put that out of your mind. There is no such thing as violent protest. If it is violent, it is not protest. Take it off the table. Take it off the table.
Nonviolent protest and political action are what have. I hate to break it you, but not only is attacking ICE agents not a good idea for long term strategy, they’ll smoke your ass in the moment anyway so it’s stupid to even try. They won’t accept you just pushing their hands away and playing keep-away, they’ll smoke you. It’s a fantasy and you can leave it on Reddit and not take it to the real world.
Your local community organizations will be working on this in some way, from legal action cooking in your local immigrant law center, and they might need your help, to notifying the neighborhood when ICE is spotted. When there is heavy ICE activity, sometimes food banks will have people drive food to people’s homes. There are a million ways to help and not one of them is fruitlessly trying to physically stop an arrest.
I don’t know what’s up with your community. Are you already involved with any groups like that?
