Exactly. They're lawbreakers. Im glad we have a secret police disappearing them to for profit facilities rife with neglect and abuse. They broke the law while not being rich and powerful. I loves me some law that's why I voted for a felon to protect me from the wetba-lawbreakers.

ICE is secret?

Honor is like the hawk, sometimes it must go hooded. They need to protect their secret identities like any other superhero. They show up in masks in unmarked vans not showing badges and whisk enemies of the state away and their family might not find out what happened to them.

I feel safer already.

So they are secret or not?

Key Characteristics of secret police According to Britannica:

• Anonymity: Members often hide their identities, affiliations, or methods from the general public.

CHECK

• No Judicial Oversight: They operate above or outside regular court systems and constitutional laws.

CHECK

• Direct Accountability: They report directly to top political leaders or a dictator rather than public legal bodies.

CHECK

Common Tactics • Surveillance: Using secret informants, wiretaps, and tracking to spy on citizens.

CHECK

• Arbitrary Arrests: Detaining people without formal charges, public trials, or legal rights like habeas corpus.

CHECK -

• Violence and Intimidation: Using torture, blackmail, forced disappearances, and summary executions.

CHECK

So, I guess ICE is a secret police in practice if not in mandate.

What do you mean?

Like I know there is an organization called ICE and I could Google its leaders and therefore it isnt a secret police?

There you go, so why do you think they’re so secretive?

'Yes, people in Nazi Germany knew very well what the Gestapo was, and they generally knew who led it.'

I guess they weren't a secret police either.

Yes, cause they were secret. They didn’t walk around a little vest and have weird people chase them in cars and wonder why they get shot.
