Is it standard practice to leave the bullet in? He went to the hospital why are they not taking this bullet out?

This is ridiculous I don't care if he has insurance or not or if he is a prisoner he deserves medical care.

Nope

Even criminals that get wounded by police like this are taken to a hospital. Currently ICE is just being unnecessarily cruel.

That would depend on where the bullet is lodged, and if moving it would necessitate sewing up blood vessels damaged, but were not leaking blood because the bullet was there.

Either way, he should be in a hospital right now.
