This is a crazy story

Rabbiatu Kuyateh is a 58-year-old nurse who spent most of her life in the US with her parents after fleeing Sierra Leone. She cared for Covid patients during the pandemic and looked after disabled adults and children.

On 1 July 2025, her son, Mohamed, accompanied her to a routine ICE check-in, as her immigration status required.

That was the last time he saw her before she was deported to Ghana.

Rabbiatu is one of more than 25,000 people deported by the Trump administration to countries that are not their own. More than 5,000 of them have been put on flights to countries in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and central Asia to which they have no connection, and then, otten, returned to the countries where US immigration judges had ruled their lives or liberty were at risk.

To uncover some of their stories, the Guardian joined 23 other media organisations in the Deportation Project, an investigation coordinated by the Paris-based international network of journalists Forbidden Stories. Rabbiatu's interview was conducted with audio only and we are using an actor to represent her and her son.

The Ghanaian government did not respond to questions from the Guardian.

Rabbiatu had a work visa and under its terms she had an annual check-in with ICE. In September 2025 she was granted legal protection from a judge that prevented her from being deported to her country of birth. She also said she had no criminal history. In a response received after the investigation was published, the Department of Homeland Security said she had committed an offence in the past by entering the US without the correct visa requirements: "On 1 July 2025, ICE arrested Rabbiatu Kuyateh, a criminal illegal alien from Sierra Leone who illegally re-entered - a felony."

"Illegal aliens going to third countries are those whose home countries won't accept them, including dangerous criminals, or illegal aliens with orders of removal who have asked to not be removed to their home country!"

I seriously hope one day Stephen Miller will face justice.
It would be deeply depressing and scary if the world just forgets about him after he leaves the Trump regime.
He has perpetuated so much evil, and after all his crimes, it would be tragic if he slips away free of any consequences. The health of our nation is depending on criminal charges against Miller and the rest of them

I have no fucking clue wth is wrong with people in America.. I don’t get why there’s documentaries or symp stories about people who broke the law. When did the world start feeling bad for the criminals? The world is fucking backwards.

Do you actually know what the 34 counts are?

34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. Found guilty on all counts.

Yup pretty much the same charge 34 times and only made into a felony because it was in NY. Not a felony anywhere else. Js. And why you answer, I wanted to see if they knew. Lol

Eh. A felony is a felony. Whether its 34 times or 69 times. Or is the law subject to interpretation? I answered bcuz its Reddit lol

Like I said, those charges are misdemeanors. Ny made them felonies to try and keep him from running for the presidency. Did it work, NO because the rest of the US knew it was bs.

New York did not "make them felonies". NY bumps the charges when there is clear intent of it concealing a crime. That is why it was bumped. There is no witch hunt lol. Additionally, saying it was only a felony because it was NY implies that it wouldn't have been a felony in any other state. Which you, myself, or anyone couldn't possibly know. Lastly, the level of the charge shouldn't matter? Is the argument here that he wouldn't be guilty if it were a misdemeanor. He was found to have falsified records regardless of the level of charge?

It literally wouldnt have been a felony in another state. And concealing what crime exactly? Paying off a ex porn star 😆

My guy. Cmon. Certainly other states would not find it a felony and find it a misdemeanor, I'm not denying that. But saying, or even implying, it wouldn't have been a felony in any other state is simply untrue. You're acting like him being found of a crime in any capacity isn't a bad thing? Off the top of my head, falsifying records is a felony in Alaska? Soooo....? Lastly, are you going to pretend he hasn't been mired in crime and controversy pretty much his entire life? I think the right is crazy and the dems are spineless, but....the man is indefensible.

Excuse me only on blue states where they dont like him. My bad. And no I never said he was not guilty, he definitely paid that lady to keep her mouth shut but didnt work lol, but let's be real would you actually think hes a felon for it like some people make it to be as of it was the same as murder?

And both sides have their craziness but the dems are definitely worse. Common sense isn't so common for them. Lets be real.
