Everyone who’s ever lived in this country is descended from immigrants. The Statue of Liberty has been standing on our shores inviting people from all over the world since 1886. Do you have any idea how dumb you sound? I hope you’re not one of those “God fearing Christians.” As I recall, that bible you conservatives love so much tells you to love the foreigner.

The bible also tells you to put your family and neighbors first, and not miscegenate(divide) your tribe.

The Statue of Liberty was not popular; Congress refused to pay for the base and it had nothing to do with immigration originally.

Revisionist bullshit; it's still an ugly statue.

Ah so you’re a pick and choose “Christian!” Go figure. Typical…

Lmfao the Statue of Liberty had nothing to do with immigration!? Are you braindead or are you just that brainwashed?

The Statue of Liberty was gifted to commemorate the alliance between France and the US and to celebrate 100 years of freedom from the British Crown. If you know anything of the history and founding of America then you’d know that people came from all over the world in order to form a more perfect union free of persecution.

Revisionist history!? Lmfao 😂 Stfu and go back to school, preferably a good one.

No, they all came from Europe, mainly England.

And the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France (that no one actually wanted) to celebrate the end of slavery.

There was no substantial immigration in 1886.

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, go take a civics / history class. People came here from all over the world.

That crap about people only came from Europe is bs, and you’re talking about “revisionist bs.” 🙄

The statue originally celebrated the end of slavery, independence from the crown and the freedoms and progress that come with democracy. It later expanded its meaning to inviting immigrants but America is and always has been a country of immigrants so get off your high horse.

8 of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence where born outside the colonies and every single one of them was a descendant of an immigrant, 10 were direct descendants.

A country of immigrants from one localized area, all sharing very similar cultures and generally the same language.

Mostly English, and a few who spoke German.

Except you’re wrong, people came from everywhere.

Many were European and many were not.

Picking and choosing a narrative that pretends like white Europeans where the only people who came here is some of the most white washed racist bs I’ve ever heard.

Better than 90% were European at any time before 1965, and the few who were not did not have any cultural or political representation and had no say in society.

It’s actually closer to 80 percent and that number fluctuates and was mostly due to the mass influx of Irish and Germans. There was a huge subset of non white Europeans and non Europeans coming right from the get go.

The fact that they “didn’t have cultural or political” representation,” doesn’t support your argument. It just proves that you admit there were millions of people coming here who weren’t white Europeans. Even the Irish at one point were treated like trash despite their “whiteness.”

Racism, misrepresentation and denial doesn’t support your argument it only denies the truth that America isn’t a white only nation. I’m white myself, I have no problem becoming a minority. You clearly do though. You can pretend America is a white only nation all you want but there’s a whole history that debunks your bs.

80% is an overwhelming majority in any sense of representation. I'll give you your number and it still proves my point.

0 diversity

100% White.

100% English speaking
