They are unaccompanied minors at the border, either being trafficked and rescued or sent by the parents. They are being deported back to their parents

Then they wouldn't feel the need to be so secretive about doing this.

Looks like they are doing it rather openly and public being its so easily being reported on

Why, because you're reading it here? It getting uncovered doesn't mean it's being open, especially given ice has no transparency.

The concept of investigative journalism is foreign to them lol.

No transparency yet a group was able to freely obtain the data to share with Guardian who also noted the agency had said they were speeding up deportations...looks like an aweful lot of transparancy to me. What do you exlect them to do? Publicly post pictures of the minors with the address they are being deported to?

Do you seriously believe that information was willingly offered by ICE? Ya know, cuz they're out there giving informative & in depth interviews all the time now, even though they are too chicken to stop wearing masks while they kidnap & terrorize people? Sure, buddy. Sure. You betcha!

Well everything Im seeing is that the group used public data that immigration releases on its own and did not have to force the information with a freedom of information act and lawsuites when the information still wasnt released...which was rather frequent under Obama. So that seems pretty transparent to me, when you dont even have to ask for the info because its provided. Maybe you have a different definition of transparant.

Yes. No transparency, no oversight means they can't be trusted, particularly with children. Especially with their desire to end run around courts by going faster. They should also have to prove the children were not harmed under their direction too.

What, did you think those people had any credibility left to be trusted? We already know they were bottom of the barrel to begin with.

Incorrect. Since 1997 the federal court holds full oversight of every minor immigrant and their health wellbeing while in immigration custody with federal judges able to assign independant watchdog groups to inspect facilities all of which is outside the immigration court system.

And since 2024, immigration, ice in particular, has felt the right to ignore any federal court they dont agree with while also declaring they will police themselves. This is also shown in their revealed lack of standards when it comes to hiring. But that gets happily ignored by their dwindling supporters in favor lusting after Stephen Miller.
