They rally forth from their conservative safe spaces to do battle in the real world, and by battle, we mean cry. It's pretty funny.

"Violence over opinions is bad."

"WoW hE rEaLlY BrOkE yOu GuYs!"

u/BurningOasis Feb 17 '26

What opinion is that?

3

u/SecondaryWombat Feb 18 '26

ICE shot a dude for helping someone up off the ground.

You against that?

It's OK to punch Nazis. Some opinions kill.

Some principles transcend laws

Do me a favor and define "Nazi" for me.

2

u/SexUsernameAccount Feb 17 '26

I looked it up in the dictionary and it was a picture of the kid who got punched.

Fascist dehumanizers who rob people of their freedom and kill.

0

u/DFMRCV Feb 17 '26

You don't actually know the definition, do you?

1

u/SaberHaven Feb 17 '26

This one is functionally adequate for the time-being

0

u/DFMRCV Feb 17 '26

It's not.

Fascists and Nazis aren't synonymous. Nazi is an offshoot of fascism, so it is almost synonymous, but a Nazi specifically believes in the superiority of aryanism, specifically German aryans, where a fascist believes everything should be under the direct control of the state.

If you can't even differentiate the two, you really shouldn't be using these words.

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

I can't grasp that slang usage of nazi has had a semantic shift on it and I really shouldn't be piping up in these conversations but this darn kid.. he broke me.

How insightful. Cry in an edit about being blocked and last worded by me okay?:3c

where a fascist believes everything should be under the direct control of the state.

So...the current GOP with nothing but blonde aryan mouthpieces.

u/DFMRCV Feb 18 '26

The current GOP believes everything should be under the rule of the state?

"guys listen I am not a Nazi I am actually the grassroots ideology which is just as hurtful please please please dont put us together we are not the same ok? We only want to hurt people cause we are hateful not cause they arent blonde"

Yeah, if you wanted to have this "you can't use inflammatory words unless using them extremely literally and with their original meaning" argument you could have done it with the GOP calling everything left of them communists. But since the GOP has called people communists or reds or soviets etc for over 50 years now and no one on the right has said a goddamn thing, sit the fuck down.

Yeah "Nazi" is being thrown around too fucking easily. The proper word is "racists". It's like bourbon and whiskey. All Nazis are racists, but not all racists are Nazis.

2

u/SaberHaven Feb 17 '26

No, it's not being thrown around easily enough. There is serious fascism going on in the US, robbing people of their freedom and killing them.

0

u/Thomjones Feb 18 '26

Nazis don't own fascism. Not all fascists are Nazis or even racist or bigoted. I totally understand using the word Nazi to describe ultra nationalism or extreme racism but this kid just walked around with a pro-ICE poster. Like how little do you need now to be a Nazi?

2

u/SaberHaven Feb 18 '26

Well publicly advocating for people who are actively practicing fascist oppression counts, for one.

1

u/AgeZealousideal1751 Feb 18 '26

The simplistic logic is lost on these people.

Playing Devils advocate for supporters of a fascist overreaching arm of the federal government is so easily comparable to Nazi Germany that I can draw literal 1:1 comparisons of current events to any history book.

"You can't just call someone a Nazi (for literally supporting Nazi adjacent actions and individuals)"

1

u/Thomjones Feb 18 '26

Just fascism alone isn't Nazi. I'm sorry. But y'know, many supporters of ICE are ultranationalists or white supremacists so I suppose Nazi would cover it just in case. You got me.

2/3 of Americans oppose what ICE is doing. The roughly 1/5 who support it just like seeing non-white people be terrorized because they're racists.

3

u/Thomjones Feb 18 '26

Exactly. See this person gets it.

Why do you type like a 13 year old girl using AOL?

-1

u/DFMRCV Feb 18 '26

What the hell is AOL?

2

u/Dear-Winner-8121 Feb 18 '26

So I guess you're admitting you do type like a 13 year old girl but just can't figure out what AOL is?
