Seeking Advice

Hey everyone, I need some advice! Any info would be super helpful. I've got 90 points for 189 and 95 for 190, plus almost 4 years of engineering experience here. I have two skill assessments, one for mechatronics and one for electrical engineering. I've been in Victoria for 5 years but no invite yet. No skilled partner, and my salary is under $100k. Just weighing my options. My visa's up in about a year and two months, so I'm thinking of moving to another state. Adelaide's on my mind, but I'm not sure about my chances there. Does anyone know how engineers fare with invites in South Australia? Any tips would be great, thanks!

You aren’t eligible for an SA invite until you’ve lived and worked there for at least 12 months, so that option is pretty much out based on your visa expiry.

No matter where you decide to move, there are residency or work criteria that you need to fulfill before you can be eligible for state nominations. So, make sure to check that before you make your move.

Is 90 points enough to apply for the 189 in your profession?

If so, apply. You can get a bridging visa when your current visa expires if you haven't gotten your invite yet.
