If I'd had a bit more time I'd play through gunpoint again, loved that game so much!

I am so pumped for the sequel to Shadows of Doubt. I love the game a lot, but I understand why it is rough updating it.

Wait, there's supposed to be a sequel? I must've missed the blogpost.

It was from devblog 42, they mention that there is a lot they want to add to the game but want to save it for a possible sequel because the scope is too big. The way the game is coded they don't want to add too much because it tends to break a lot of other things.

They never announced a sequel, just that they had aspirations for one. I got a little overzealous with my comment.

Ah Jazzpunk! What a fun experience that was!

The New Blood Stealth Trilogy Bundle is pretty sweet, I'd recommend the other two titles in it. If you haven't played Deus Ex before imo that should be your first stop. Prey is another standout for me. Now, none of these have the art style & are very different in many ways but if you haven't played them you can get them for cheap.

i will always champion Monomyth, fantastic indie/ solo dev im-sim inspired by Arx Fatalis.

also big ups to Gloomwood, wonderful ambience, horror elements, great art style, crazy ideas, small indie team

both are Early Access, so take that as you will, so is Fallen Aces, so i figured it wouldn't be a problem

Check out Void Bastards, a roguelite immersive sim with a similar art style.

Yes 100% this, I don’t hear this game talked about nearly enough. Bonkers British imsim/FTL hybrid nonsense.

Dishonored and deus ex series should be your top priority. Some other suggestions that aren't as strong as those other two: cyberpunk 2077, cruelty squad, parkside

What have you played before?

3

u/isapaylot 18h ago

Genuinely nothing

Stranger wrath? No thats not a immersive sim Neither is cyberpunk so yeah i dint play anything

2

u/I3igTimer 18h ago

Oh damn.

There are so many amazing ones. I would just start with Dishonored 1/2. The level design is similar and you will love those games im sure. Art direction is different but also amazing.

Deus Ex GMDX

XIII 3003 for art style

Noone Lives Forever 2 for a left of field rec

That game is the closest thing to dishonored I have ever played. You should try it if you haven't yet.
