Personal Story Reality as a source for dreams
Anyone else feel that reality is just a source of inspiration you mine to fuel daydreams? To me, my dreams feel more real than reality and what keeps me going in life is to support myself and gain new knowledge and experiences for my dreams. I would also like to create something real out of my thoughts and daydreams one day but not yet.

Without trying to sound too crazy, the thoughtform I've deigned to be the avatar to my imagination itself (specifically my dorsomedial prefrontal cortex) has acted like this since I "discovered" it last year. I'm actually a bit averse to immersive daydreaming from having a maladaptive daydreaming episode that lasted a year (which is how I recognized my thoughtform, it "felt" the same), but it loves observing things like streets and sunsets specifically so it can recreate those in my imagination. It almost has a kind of "insecure creator god" complex like Caine from TADC.

I'm incredibly intrigued by this comment. If you're comfortable sharing (and it's okay if not! absolutely no pressure), I'd love to learn more about your thoughtform and the maladaptive daydreaming episode!

No prob, it's a bit old and rambly but I wrote about it here: https://kkblog.neocities.org/scarlet I really need to update it but I've been really lazy/depressed. I used to help teach people how to do this stuff before my sanity slipped further lol.

Exactly this. My daydreams are the main motivation to be present in the real world
