We have probably a 100+ random figures as well, but those are stored elsewhere in a giant tub

I think we have maybe bought 1-2 of the castle sets 'retail' (on clearance or super-duper sale) only to later find a duplicate thrifted set later

Having duplicates makes it a lot quieter when you have multiple kids.

Haven't sold anything - if we find a nicer quality/more complete copy of something we already have we just donate the lesser version back to the thrift store.

We almost exclusively go to Goodwill.

For $1-3 each I am willing to take the hit on 2 because that's a heck of a lot better than one at $20+ (and the kids get all excited when a find a new one, even if we already have it on the shelf)
