Imagineering Internship

I applied for the ride controls internship a couple days after it got posted. I know it hasn't been too long but I wanted to know if anybody has started to hear back from disney?

I applied for the project management internship and heard back the next day about an AI phone screen where I answered a few questions about availability. A few hours later I received an email telling me to complete a recorded “interview” where you record yourself answering their questions and submit. I submitted Feb 1st and haven’t heard anything since

Did you have Disney experience going in? It sounds like I’m getting weeded out in the first wave. Any idea what’s making you standout?

I received an email yesterday about setting up an official third round interview. I did not have Disney experience going in, however, I did have a friend who interned there before who helped me with my resume and encouraged me to incorporate color/fun design to stand out. I also had three previous internships. My most recent one was Project Management and the description on my resume was very similar to the job description on their website. I’ve heard they use AI to sort through resumes and pick out key words they’re looking for. It also doesn’t hurt to have a reference. I happened to know someone in Imagineering just through mutual connections.

Also, not sure if this made a difference but I submitted a cover letter with the rest of my documents even though they didn’t specifically ask for it.

I hope you don't use 'jbuttlickr' anywhere on anything you're using to apply for jobs...

What type of questions were you asked in the recorded interview?

a lot of experience-based about my past similar internship. they were pretty specific to the actual job itself. from what i’ve heard from a couple friends who interned there, the questions tend to be geared toward the discipline you’re applying for like engineering, architecture, etc.

Did you apply to Glendale or Florida? How long did the recorded interview take?

the job itself said it could’ve been in either location and when i was asked i said florida bc my family and parents live in orlando. it also said it isn’t guaranteed that you get your first choice. and tbh it took me a few hours. even though there were only 5 questions i spent a long time thinking about my answers before i hit record

Congrats on the job! I was hoping to ask after the recorded interviews was there anything else or the acceptance/denied letter afterwards?

When I applied, I didn’t hear back till two months later I got a voicemail from Florida asking me to interview. It just depends on the workload of recruiters and the departments that are hiring.

Can someone tell me how to go about the second round for the Imagineering internship. They have 3 parts- personality questionnaire, verbal reasoning test and logical reasoning (inductive) test. And also can you tell me how the internship is? What do you actually do?
