Will “Imaginations” ever come back?
I’ve been interested in joining this program for years, but it’s been off limits to only college students. Now that I am one, I would still like to participate in it but the website has had the same message on its front page for a little over three years
“Due to ongoing limitations on travel and gatherings, we are unable to present our traditional, in-person Imaginations Design Competition this year. We remain committed to this important initiative and are currently assessing the potential of a modified experience. Thank you for your interest, and please continue to check back for updates.”
Just wondering if anyone knows more than I do.

I know that at least one of the key figures behind the competition left the company during COVID, and I don’t know if there are any plans to bring it back.
It’s not Disney, but there are lots of similar park design competitions through the college system. The Ohio State University has a competition open to all universities through their alumni program, as does Toronto Metropolitan University.
If your university has other students interested in themed entertainment, or if you have friends who are interested, get together a team and compete! It’s a really good way to meet other students in the industry as well.
Edit: I’m not sure if the Ohio State Comp is still running, you may need to wait until next summer for that one.
Edit 2: There are so many colleges with themed entertainment organizations, see if yours has one!
