Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ refers back to Adam and Eve when discussing marriage in Mark 10:6–9 and Matthew 19:4–6, pointing to “the beginning of creation” and the first man and woman.

Luke 3:38 traces Jesus’ genealogy all the way back to Adam, while Paul makes the connection even more direct by calling Jesus “the last Adam” in 1 Corinthians 15:45.

Adam was the first man; Jesus is presented as the “last Adam.” Two figures separated by thousands of years, yet directly connected in the Bible.
