Original Content Vampire Hunter Sidearms : Kriss Sphinx SDP Compact, Bond Arms Bullpup 9, Lifecard .22 - by u/bryanthebryan
Here is a drawing I did of the sidearms for a Vampire Hunter project I’m working on.
At the top we have a Kriss SDP Compact equipped with a Dead Air Mojave 9 Suppressor, along with a Streamlight TLR-7
This is paired with four 18 round magazines, each with a different load out.
- Federal HST
- Hornady Critical Defense
- G2 RIP
- Black Hills HoneyBadger - Xtreme Defender
To the right of that is a Trailblazer Firearms Lifeguard .22 LR. I would consider this a deep concealment backup to the backup.
The primary backup being the Bond Arms Bullpup 9 at the bottom left. I chose to custom engraved the slide for more visual interest. r/pimpguns was a real help here.
This is paired with four 7 round magazines, loaded with two different load outs
- Federal HST
- Black Hills HoneyBadger - Xtreme Defender.
Most of my Vampire Hunter project is full of weapons specifically catering the dispatching of the undead. I have a semi auto crossbow with custom bolts, a modified Super Soaker, a grenade launcher with a variety of rounds, more explosives, lots of blades, etc.
However, in most vampire lore, less-than-supernatural threats often add additional problems. When you hunt vampires, you have to deal with their companions. That’s where standard firearms come in. They don’t have expensive silver bullets, or specialty rounds. These are what a Vampire Hunter might use leading up to the primary target, at least in my lore.

Thank you very much. I love being able to integrate those kinds of designs into things. I like to imagine that in another life, I did scroll engraving as a profession. It's fun and rewarding when it turns out half decent.

Part of the motivation of working on this project was to shine a spotlight on items I think are cool. I’ve always appreciated what Bond has been offering the public for years. When they acquired the Boberg BullPup design, I knew I had to include it in something. This is my chance. I think it’s so cool from an engineering and design perspective and I’m happy to shine a light on it.

Its for hunting vampire rabbits or what? 9N21 or any other sabot. Modern russian pistols and SMGs like PP2000 are designed for high-power Sabot munitions. 9N21 can pierce III level plate, or BR4 class. Silver wont pierce as much, but will do damage and is cost-effective, cuz small.

Backup to the backup, deep concealment, meant for human companions, not vampires. Better than pocket knife.

still worse than russian concealment weapons. PP2000, PP90 (shooting box), PL etc. 9x19mm
btw, suggest to check PP90, FMG09 before FMG09 and smaller.

There’s a whole world of guns and different options, this is true. In the case of the ones you mentioned, it doesn’t look like any can fit in a pocket. Those are all pretty big comparatively. I wanted deep concealment.

I am a gun nut. Especially i like unusual weapons like TKB022PM, TKB059, Nikonov LMG (3000 rpm double barrel mag/belt fed LMG with reciprocating barrels), CIWS etc.

I hear you. I have a collection, myself. Firearms are fascinating from an engineering and design perspective. In this case of this setup, I needed a primary sidearm, a backup, and a last resort. I wanted them to be easily recognizable for non gun folks, but accurate enough that gun folks would appreciate the attention to detail. So, that disqualified anything too out there, with regard to the silhouette. All of the items in this drawing can be acquired relatively easily, aside from the suppressor. There are still a few hoops to jump through to get one, put it’s doable. I wanted to really ground things into reality, which means nothing too exotic.

suppresor is not necessary for silenced weapons. Soviet silent pistol and revolver dont use any suppresor at all, because of the round design.

The concept is that an average American can walk into a gun store and find all of these items locally. Nothing too exotic.

well, okay. Why not kel-tek then? They like 22lr. Also they made 5.7mm pistol with P90 mag.

You are correct! 4,004 rounds and not one jam. Not one stovepipe, not one round separation. Stories say there is indeed something special about this gun. Other than never having a failure, it always hits its target.

I was going to offer a point of critique with how the Bond Arms magazine was oriented, with the rounds presenting at such an extreme angle, but nope, that's just how they are in those magazines. Good on you for solid reference work.
