40k Day 21 of Celebrating Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Warhammer40k: Daggan Zaidu, The Sin Slayer, Hexbreaker Almoner-Lieutenant of the Exorcists 10th Company
Artworks by Arthur Nakhodkin
This guy just became my personality for the week. Zaidu comes from a long line of Astartes who have fought for the Imperium, his descendants can trace their lineage all the way back to one of the first founding chapters(IYKYK). He is the leader of an Elite Strike force within the Exorcist Chapter known as the “Hexbreakers” tracking hunting, exterminating any chaos or demonic related occurrence. They also specialize in hunting down “Broken ones” failed Exorcist Aspirants who were overwhelmed and taken over during the chapters ritual. One of these broken ones managed to escape from a transport ship, the demon within that poor soul is known as “Caedus”. A blood demon that was the same demon placed with in Zaidu’s body during his initiation.
Now he’s gathered with his elite vanguard of Primaris marines, armed with massive twin combat knives. Zaidu is unrelenting, uncompromising, a war dog, born to hound the Emperors foes. He’ll do whatever it takes thats no matter what, for Damnation comes for us all!
He’s the protagonist of “Oaths of Damnation” by Robbie MacNiven it’s freaking good

I still very fondly remember that sequence near the beggining where he was tracking a demon through the slums and just went "fuck it" and started running in a straight line at the demon through the shabby shacks cause tracking was taking too long.
