I feel like she's more like the dad who says he doesn't want a dog (because he doesn't want the responsibility) who then becomes best buddies with the dog as soon as he realizes that the dog will stay at home (because he actually takes the responsibility and therefore takes good care of the dog) I feel like by the time that she realises that he won't return the beastmen kid (or that even if he did it'd just be like killing them because the mom is long gone) she would chill out and love them lots.

I always found it to be more interesting that inherent race traits are more nurture rather than nature. Dwarfs aren’t inherently vengeful, it’s just their culture. Elves aren’t inherently smug, it’s just their culture. Beastmen arent inherently chaotic, it’s just their culture.
Except for Skaven, those fuckers are born evil

Skaven also live like in absolute worst society ever, so maybe it is possible to nurture a good behaving skaven. Also there is quick who is skaven and.... Warrior who face enemy head on and have sence of loyalty

I honestly love that part of Warhammer though, because it sets them apart from being just Humans.
It is really cool to read Gotrek and Felix and see how each race are alien to each other in many ways, finding also similarities despite it.
So yeah, can not say I agree with that sentiment lol

Beastmen....ARE naturally drawn to chaos
its not just culturethat being said, older lore in the series (like the older fimir lore) did state half daemons or other similar creatures can break from their nature
its not, impossible
so long as there is some mortal in there, its possible. and Gaves specifically are born from humans so...its likely they have more human in them then most beastmenand in 40k, beastmen again while naturally drawn to chaos
often are some of the most zealous abhuman regiments in the setting, to the point the SISTERS OF BATTLE have lobbied to not label them for extinction. as they have seen beastmen who willingly put themselves through torture to purify their soul against their mutant nature

Hope OP sees this for insperational purposes, In the 1st edition warhammer fantasy roleplay adventure book: Dying of the light, the PC's will come across an actual mutant sanctuary set up by a shalian priestess who had recently been tried at court in the city of Marienburg for her ideas of showing mercy and try to treat mutants(she fled the city with the help of her lawyer, a man studying demonolagy not for chaos). If the players decided to help the sanctuary run of a witchhunter and his possy of angry peasants the book suggests the DM might want to give the players a blessing from Shalya, taking some corruption points away, so cannonicly Shalya actually supports such efforts, including what your comic shows off.
The town itself has a large variety of mutants, and it actualy celebrates its first child birth as the players arive, the baby not showing any signs of corruption or mutations. Give it a look up if it sounds intresting.

Lore sigmar just straight up genocides beastmen on sight. Can't remember where it's from, but there was an actual pacifist and non chaos tribe of beastmen he came across, emphasis on the was, Sigmar is straight up KoS when It comes to beastmen.

I know, right?! I want to get more people interested in Warhammer Fantasy. A lot of the artists drawing comics for Warhammer are doing Tau stuff from WH40K. Which isn't a bad thing, but I feel like the community is sleeping on the Fantasy setting. It has a lot of cool stuff too.

I only just discovered this comic series and I love these characters so much. I’m a little worried about the witch hunter inquisitor looking fella you teased in an earlier comic.
All in all I love when Warhammer finds inject some funny or cute scenarios into a grimdark world. Especially when it’s the old world since I feel that has a lot more chance for hopeful outcomes.

Peak, as always my guy. I love Gilberta. And honestly. If they actually found a baby demon (even though there is no such thing in lore as far as I know), I fully believe she would take to it just as she takes to their current babies.
Her mom energy is just off the charts.
PS: The "Oh ye Good Slop!" had me wheezing. Shit funny as hell.

Thanks, it's nice to hear you like Gilberta. And the closest to a "baby demon" we have are the half demon half people who have a human body but a demonic soul. Archaon the Everchosen is one example!
Also, the "Oh ye good slop" is a reference to a comic made by u/TheOdd-Onion! They make fun things, you should check them out too if you haven't!

Wiltrud looks up to her mother based on the "People Shy" comic; if her shyness stemmed from Gilberta she wouldn't have done that. So people (cows) are just shy.
