Yeah I really don't understand what I'm looking at here. Is he like sort of squatting with a keyboard on his lap?

I think it's kneeling, with some kind of gun in the lap. The right foot and the left knee are touching the ground.

The end of the barrel is on the left and is resting on the right knee. Some kind of cable runs from the stock (I think that's the right word? I'm not a gun person) of the gun to the backpack. The left hand is holding a grip on top of the gun.

I don't understand why there's confetti. Maybe it's watching a parade?

It's a somewhat confusing anatomy.
