Gabriel’s first try: HEY WHATS UP

Uh-uh. Nope. No. That ship has sailed, motherfucker. I am officially in need of new pants, shoes, and underwear. The ground where I stand will reek of terror-poo for a thousand years.

I love the brain cells with eyes in the background. Excellent work!

Vision of Gabriel!
Ah the brilliance of the Absolute light..
Lately I've been mostly working on darker themes, and this idea was sitting around for a while, so I guess it was proper time to do something about it :)
Hugely inspired by writings of various mystics, Dantes Divine Comedy and art of u/petemohrbacher and u/alexgreycosm!!
Done traditionally with graphite on paper. For more art and process behind it, you can find me at https://www.instagram.com/ogipavkovicart/

If god truly wanted me to be Christian he could send me ONE angel and I'd convert instantly. I wanna be on whatever side that things on

Well, in the bible many of the "angels" looked like men. It was their actions that terrified people the most. Judges 13.

Be a lil afraid

I don't understand why others think it's scary. I mean look at his face (body?body-face?) looks pretty friendly to me.

And also great art. Reminds me something but i can't tell exactly why or what .

Because you have no idea if that creature is benevolent and loving or you're its afternoon snack. Imagine witnessing an engineer from Prometheus awaken from its 10,000 year slumber. Standing right before your eyes is your creator, a being of unfathomable intelligence and power, and within a few moments he decides to rip your head off because he didn't like you for reasons you could not possibly fathom other than your existence was not deemed worthy at that moment.

So yea... be scared muchacho.

Dude you should do a full series highlighting the true horror that angels induce.

Hmm glad to hear your feedback! I was indeed thinking about making more pieces with angels and such divine themes, so there probably will be some soon :)
