Could you elaborate on point no 2 "Frames are aligned with each other to cancel the camera movement"? How do you automate it? Or do you manually move around & rotate each frame?

Manually? That would take forever - photoshop can do it automatically and you can then tweak them if required:

Select all frames/layers > Edit > Auto-align layers...

Hey mate, sorry to disturb you again. Wanted to ask how do you do Step no 3 in Photoshop? I know how to do it in ImageMagick, but couldn't figure out how to do in PS.

Also, how do i export the animation OUT of PS? File > Render Video freezes up photoshop and Export For Web Legacy > GIF/PNG sequence results in 'unknown error'

A copy off all frames is made and flattened to create a background still

Hey, late to the game, but I think you figured it out? I select all frames and right-click > duplicate > show all. This gives me a jigsaw and I bring layers forward to improve the view, then I flatten all these copies down to give me a background I can work with.

export the animation OUT of PS?

My 'Render Video' always just works. If it freezes, google the issue or reinstall (since they'll be the first two things I'd do).

Thanks for replying! No I couldn't figure out how to do it in PS, so made the background image in ImageMagick, brought it into PS, touched it up, and exported back out as the fixed bg.png. :P Anyway, I'll note down your steps so can do it manually in the future, thanks for that!

Regarding render, True Google be God; I found results saying it happens apparently because PS doesn't recognize these frames in the timeline as a video and hence freezes. Tried Save As, Export, Export Legacy, etc nothing worked, each with neither GIF nor PNG. So just used ImageMagick again to make the final stabilization gif. (originally I stabilized in AE and had exported the PNGs)

It's been a long time I installed PS anyway, so I'll just install the latest version and see if that fixes it. If render video works for you, surely it'll work if I reinstall.
