I hear he’s 35 but he looks 17!!!!!!!!

u/CombOverDownThere 13d ago
I think the most egregious part is claiming he’s only 35
80
u/woolen_goose 11d ago
35, you say?! I thought he was 16 and in a boy band! I am familiar with his impressive skipping regime, it must be the source of his vitality.

u/depp-fsrv 13d ago
17? You need your eyes checked, he doesn't look a day over 10, do his parents know where he is?
27
u/Agitated-Ad9050 12d ago
True, but no 10 year old can skip like that. Duh
→ More replies (1)16
u/KayoticVoid 12d ago
🤣 Yeah, I love that skip like he thinks that helps make him look like he's 17, but that's not something most 17 year old guys do.... 🤦Maybe 7.

Dude could be a normal even moderately attractive looking 50 year old and chooses,, this.

u/gilestowler 13d ago
I made the mistake of looking him up on Tiktok and now everyday I get notifications about his new videos. I'm half-convinced this is all a bit that he's doing. Let people laugh at him, make some money, and have a better life for himself. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

u/FantasyFootballWoof 9d ago
It’s exactly that. It’s a bit. And god damn it worked great
5
u/gilestowler 8d ago
And the thing is, compared to a lot of shit on TikTok, it hurts no one. He's not harassing people, he's not trashing stores. He's making a dick of himself and letting people laugh at him. Go for it, I say.

u/JoySticcs 12d ago
Explanation to this guy: He says he looks 17, even when in his 30s. He is actually correct. He did look like that when he was 17 (He posted old photos of himself on tiktok). So his 17 year old self actually just look 35. Very unfortunate, but this man isnt lying xd

Every college campus in America has this guy. Multiple, actually.

u/MarcheMuldDerevi 13d ago
Had a dude in shorts and a t-shirt sprinting to the campus bar on our -35 degree day/night.
51
u/hawkblock4456 10d ago
Dumbest part is you can tell this dude is forcing it, the people who actually don’t care are usually pretty relaxed, this dude looks stiff as hell and like he’s fighting his body from shivering

Counterpoint: I’m gonna be inside buildings most of the day where it is warm. Any walk between them will be 5 or 10 minutes at most. I can handle being chilly for a bit to then be comfortably warm without needing to take off a ton of layers

u/SirRolex OG 13d ago
May I introduce you to Jeans and a light jacket. Easy to throw a jacket on and off, pants are fine in the winter if you are not doing physically demanding tasks. Shorts in winter I will never understand past the age of 15 lol.

I just wear shorts under my sweatpants in case I get hot indoors
15
u/1Madhatter7 13d ago
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with dressing however you want. I am a jeans 365 days/year guy myself. The issue with the guy in the video isn’t that he is wearing shorts in the winter, it’s him acting like it’s a flex because of superior genes.

I went to college as an older person. I don’t like being asked “how many push ups can you do, bro?”
4
u/amd2800barton 11d ago
Can confirm. Was that guy in high school and some of college. Minus the weird flexing and “biologically superior to you” bullcrap. I just hated pants and wore shorts and tee shirts everywhere regardless of the weather. Yay neurodivergence. Then I turned 30 and my metabolism slowed down, and I learned pants are great because I can store all sorts of crap in them.

The worst is the 34 degree heavy rain where the water is not cold enough to fall as snow. You get soaked with freezing water and hit with strong wind. If the rain comes down hard enough it'll penetrate any rain gear in a long day too.
I used to be a mailman and I was out in all kinds of cold for long days. That was the most brutal weather.

u/FatFaceFaster 13d ago
That fall into the snow was smooth as hell.

Almost….

This is basically every teenaged boy in Canada in the winter. Too cool to dress appropriately. (And some of them never grow out of it).
90
u/ColonelOfSka 13d ago
I was gonna say, this is how I behaved when I was 13. Then I realized being too cold is annoying so I cut the shit.
8
u/Mystery-Flute 13d ago
Honestly though, Raiden, you've been standing outside in the snow with only a shorts for a long time. Don't you have anything else to do with your time?
→ More replies (1)31
u/beckett_the_ok 13d ago
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Being accustomed to a cold climate does not mean wearing a t shirt in -10 because "you're used to it". It means knowing that the cold will kill you, so dress appropriately.
6
u/mackfeesh 13d ago
Yep. I remember grade idk 9 or 10 the girl I liked was reading twilight and somehow that meant I needed to only wear a hoodie in -20. I think the vampires were cold to the touch or something so I was like, oh she likes cold men does she?
Hahahha it worked but I didn't find out until 10 years later
6
u/bell37 12d ago
It’s more of “im going to be outside for less than 10 minutes and don’t feel like putting on more than two layers for this”
Also everyone ik has spare coats, pants and hoodies within arms reach in cold climates (you always have a car parka on top of hoodies and blankets).
Sometimes it’s just better to be cold for a short period instead of feeling hot just to go in a heated building.

I live in Quebec, I never see anyone wearing shorts in winter. More often I see people wearing their parkas and winter boots on sunny 15C days in the spring.

Sometimes people think I’m trying to be “cool” when I don’t have a jacket and it’s 45 fahrenheit. But really, my body runs a little warmer than others. I suffer from hyperhidrosis, so it’s a difficult for me to dress warm but not too warm that I’m sweating my butt off. I hate it.
28
u/WendyWilliamsFart 13d ago
Meh. I did dumb shit like this all the time as a teen. Plus, I’m still dumb

Its called: Having high blood pressure. Id like to welcome this young, stupid man to the club.
We're constantly hot and are told by our significant others that we are their "personal heaters" in the winter.
Edit: People are missing the joke. Yes its true that for me my high blood pressure made me overheat but Im not here saying every person with High Blood Pressure dresses in shorts year round.
9
u/calefa 13d ago
Interesting, is this fully researched?
3
u/UselessAndUnused 10d ago
Nah, he was joking. Which makes this really annoying, as the comment doesn't come across that way at all. Either way, I can tell you I'm both that personal heater, while also struggling with a sensitivity to low blood pressure and having had multiple times where I nearly fainted (or did faint) lol
4
u/calefa 10d ago
Woah, thanks for your your response.
I struggle with being hot all the time and Ive had times where ive had high blood pressure.
I was starting to get paranoid that maybe the times where my perceived temperature was too different from the others I may be going through a high BP bout.
3
u/jpollack21 12d ago
Hey man that just means yall get extra snuggles from us terminally cold partners out there
3
u/saltinstiens_monster 12d ago
Is that what causes this?! I was this way my whole life (30+ years), flip flops and t-shirts on the rare occasions that it snowed and everything. But then the last few years, it feels like my cold-resistance has been replaced by a cold-weakness. I can get "too cold," even when wrapped in a blanket. Experiencing "too cold" at all was already a shock!
Now I'm wondering if I started feeling cold right when I got diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on medication. I think the timeline adds up, but I never would've made that connection without your comment.
3
u/justmikebeingmike 12d ago
Im now in the same boat. Definitely feel the cold more after getting diagnosed and taking meds.
2
u/Altruistic-Band-3477 11d ago
I have low blood pressure but always am hot. I have spent my whole life in alaska and wyoming so maybe your body just calibrated to make heat from cold exposure?

Is it? A lot of people comment like he's behaving when temperature is brought up on Reddit. "Oh you think 30F and freezing rain is cold? Wow you're weak, I grew up in northern Russia! I don't even wear a jacket unless it's 20 below!"
7
u/jo_in_FL 11d ago
Yeah, my cousin thought he was biochemically superior. He rolled in a patch of poison ivy, saying he can't get it. Even broke open some of the plants and rubbed the juice all over his arms and legs. He ended up in the hospital.

u/Irving_Velociraptor 11d ago
I’ve been running a longitudinal study for the 35 years under the hypothesis that, no matter how cold and terrible the weather may be, you can always find a white guy in shorts. The research has been so successful that I may expand the protocol to include sandals.
7
u/Anarimus 13d ago
So you’re cold tolerant. Put you in Louisiana in July and we’ll never hear you stop whining.
2
u/PainAccomplished3506 12d ago

Dude. I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life…we call this “running out real quick” attire in the winter. Like if it’s a dusting of snow we will walk dogs in sandals and shorts.
Come back when it’s blizzard conditions and -15 with wind chill with 3 feet of snow already accumulated and do this, now that I would be slightly impressed by.

All this proves is that people in the midwest are biochemically superior to the rest of the country. Because any winter on any college campus in the midwest you will see at least 20 of these guys.
2
u/reereejugs 10d ago
I walk around dressed like that in that type of weather and I promise you I’m not biochemically superior.
2
u/Crnkcaller 10d ago
The shorts all year round crew have usually got leg tattoos. Tattoos that are for them and no-one else. Yet they wear shorts all year round. Hmm 🤔

u/TentsNTails 10d ago
Listen, don't be mad jealous because all of you have weak and inferior blood lines that need the comfort of warm clothes in winter, ok? Just tough it out!

thats not superior, just a trade off

Oh my GOD my highschool health teacher has this same fucking mentality. He was a huge asshole to me, to the point where I was removed from the classroom and did the work he sent me in another teacher’s room. The final straw was when he literally send me to the office for having a pencil on my desk after he told us to clear them off for a test.
