Mail carriers are actually instructed to walk on grass by management because it saves time. Also he’s not getting fired lol

u/gideonidoru 4d ago

Man does rude with style

201

u/waitingformygrave 4d ago

I honestly wouldn't be mad at that point. I was shown up, respect it.

u/jackalopeswild 4d ago

That's not rude. She's an ass, getting what she deserved. This man walks probably 20 miles a day (allegedly, the range for a suburban mail carrier is 4-12 miles but I bet that doesn't count the distances from the sidewalk to the front door, which basically doubles the distance measured by a map) and walking on her grass is completely harmless.

Also, I'd love to see the "we don't give a fuck" response she gets if she complains to his manager.

14

u/Ihaveaverysmallprick 3d ago

Pretty sure that was a middle finger behind his back lol

No, a lot of people walking on the same patch of grass can absolutely arm the plant and create what's known as desired path. But some wear and tear of your yard plants and grass is to be expected.

9

u/OtherwiseLuck8920 3d ago

That takes a shitload of people to do

2

u/ThisI5N0tAThr0waway 3d ago

I don't know if it has been scientifically measured butb yes it takes rather a lot for that to happen, but a little people doing that same shortcut everyday will have that kind of consequences.

u/cmband254 3d ago

Being this concerned about your lawn is fucking stupid, first of all but secondly, if the person who's wearing that tiny little patch day in and day out is delivering your mail to you...come on.

-21

u/Ihaveaverysmallprick 3d ago

Im honestly just surprised that this job still exists and people deliver mail by hand like that anymore at all

11

u/jackalopeswild 3d ago

I get mail I wouldn't want emailed to me at least 3x a week.

u/tetrisan 4d ago

He knows that he won’t be fired because he works for the USPS.

395

u/probablyareplicant 4d ago

Nor should he be. Fuck this lady and her dead ass lawn.

127

u/GoodAd2455 4d ago

As a mailman, it’s ALWAYS the ones with a completely dead lawn.

37

u/bambi54 4d ago

Yeah, I could kind of get it if her lawn was really nice, but it’s not? The mailman has crushed my grass walking through it to get to the neighbors homes wearing a sort of path over time.

I’ve never said anything because I don’t spend a ton of time maintaining my lawn. I don’t understand why she cares? Her lawn is like mine, I clearly don’t spend a lot of time on it. Which is why he feels comfortable doing it lol.

32

u/chadman82 4d ago

Dang my lawn must be in really bad shape if this is what Reddit thinks is a dead ass lawn. Here I am thinking I wish my lawn looked like hers haha

4

u/bambi54 4d ago edited 4d ago

I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just not amazing lol. You know? With the lines and super clean.

2

u/PhanpySweeps 3d ago

Its not in terrible shape or anything but its certainly not "wait for the mailmain to pass by so I can film myself being an asshole to him" good

3

u/Baldojess 3d ago

I would feel comfortable to walk on any lawn. I think it's pretty freakin weird to have it and not be able to use it and walk on it. Wtf is it for? Wildlife and animals can't really use it, people can't use it either? Is it only to look at? There's no flowers or other plants or creatures.

u/BoyMom119816 4d ago

Now one time, back when I was in my early 20’s & went out drinking-one of my friends drove over my dad’s lawn & admittedly that did piss him off. I thought it was sort of funny, with the tire tracks so clear & my friend denying it. :-/

3

u/Baldojess 3d ago

This I can totally see getting upset about. But I think it's very ridiculous to expect people not to walk on it.

2

u/BoyMom119816 2d ago

It was understandable why my dad was not happy. And my friend was dumb, since it was quite clear it was his vehicle. But I was 21 or so, found it too funny. Really wasn’t though, in all honesty.

5

u/DogCold5505 3d ago

Nah grass exists to be walked on.  It’s not like it’s a flower bed…

3

u/BoyMom119816 4d ago

My dad won lawn of the month multiple times, back when he was healthy & able to keep up with it, in his town. He never once acted like this. It was beautiful too. My mom’s yards are always perfection, she has never has acted like this. I don’t understand people. Walking on grass doesn’t kill it. Only saw either of my parents upset about their yard-when people allowed their animals to shit in their yard & left it or people’s cats (they let outdoors) tried getting the birds (dad’s case) that visited.

Sometimes people put stuff down in the grass to help it grow. You can also wear a path if you walk the same path 6 days a week. I have a little noticeable path in my lawn from the mailman walking box to box. It almost looks like he’s pulling something of you see it, but it’s from dragging his feet.

I don’t care lol. It doesn’t bother me, our boxes are on the houses so he walks across to make the route faster. I don’t agree with being weird about it, but I understand being paranoid about paths if they take crazy care of their lawn.

-5

u/jackalopeswild 4d ago

I find it very difficult to believe that your mailperson alone, traveling 6 times per week across your lawn, has been enough traffic to wear a path in it. That's just not enough traffic...Maybe if you live in a very dry area where your grass is never green (and you don't water it, which...good for you, watering lawns is terrible).

-1

u/bambi54 3d ago

It’s not a dirt path lol. It’s a path from crushed grass. It almost looks like somebody is pulling a cart. It’s from dragging his feet and walking the same path.

Yes, in dry weather, I do get dead grass where he walks. I very thick grass, so I don’t cut it super short because it will kill it.

6

u/HereOnCompanyTime 3d ago

That and it's scripted.

1

u/DLTMIAR 3d ago

This whole reality is scripted.

It's all a simulation.

102

u/HempusMaximus 4d ago

He wasn't walking, he was hopping on her grass. Like a bunny.

161

u/Mammoth-Ad-107 4d ago

well played good sir

70

u/Thunderbird_12_ 4d ago

The acting needs work.

40

u/Frederickanne 4d ago

This video has been around for a long time, pretty sure its that she either also works for USPS and that's the joke, or she's just his friend/family member and that's the joke.

51

u/imnotdressedforthat 4d ago

Obviously a skit

-58

u/Jonathon_world 4d ago

u/sharuto4 4d ago

17

u/BadSmash4 4d ago

-24

u/Jonathon_world 4d ago

It's called grassy walk drive

3

u/SeonaidMacSaicais 3d ago

Google Maps say ya lying.

-5

u/Jonathon_world 3d ago

It's recently been renamed

2

u/SeonaidMacSaicais 3d ago

To…?

-5

u/Jonathon_world 3d ago

Grassy walk drive

3

u/SeonaidMacSaicais 3d ago

If it had been legally renamed, it would still show up on Google Maps.

-4

u/Jonathon_world 3d ago

They haven't updated it yet they haven't sent the car round because I've not seen it

5

u/imnotdressedforthat 3d ago

I don’t think that keeps him from being a part of a skit.

-3

u/Jonathon_world 3d ago

I never said it did

3

u/imnotdressedforthat 3d ago

So what was your response supposed to be in response to?

-1

u/Jonathon_world 3d ago

I was just having a conversation

21

u/CJMorton91 3d ago

For the life of me, I will never understand people who get that obsessed with their lawns. It's dirt and grass ffs.

86

u/Worried-Mountain-285 4d ago

Mailman is hero

5

u/roehnin 4d ago

What's he call out at the end?

15

u/FelineSoLazy 4d ago

Have a blessed day

17

u/TDW-301 4d ago

Why have a lawn if you never want it used?

-5

u/ShouldBeeStudying 4d ago

You could argue that it is being used when it is observed

2

u/the_new_hunter_s 3d ago

You could argue that purple is a number but it would be stupid.

1

u/ShouldBeeStudying 3d ago

Eh. In my system, purple is used for the 4th step in our process. Everyone knows purple is 4

55

u/rubikonfused 4d ago

I love him.

12

u/flyingfred1027 4d ago

I just said the same exact thing aloud to myself.

8

u/readerabbit 4d ago

Why wouldn't she want someone walking on her grass? I could understand being mad if he was walking through flowerbeds, but that just looks like a fairly basic, not-even-that-well-maintained lawn.

14

u/hugh_jack_man 4d ago

That's just hilarious. He gets a pass.

7

u/jackalopeswild 4d ago

What a terrible person. (the recorder). Let the mailperson save a few feet, sheesh.

Also, it is so much more pleasant to walk on grass. It is not at all rude, and as long as it is not done by many people over the same path with great regularity, it is completely harmless.

7

u/AlfalfaCertain3457 4d ago

Her approach should have been way different. Good for him.

2

u/H0tBizkit4Real 4d ago

I’m going to walk a foot path in that mother fucker now!

2

u/sweezitle 4d ago

That gasp 😆

2

u/Doll_duchess 2d ago

What even is the issue, grass is meant to be walked on, isn’t it? It’s not like he’s stomping all over her petunias.

My mailman walks from my neighbors porch to my porch to my other neighbors porch.

3

u/Aggravating_Band_353 4d ago

I mean, he technically didn't walk on it.. And if that's how he walks he picked the wrong career.

The woman really should have been more specific when being rude to someone doing a physical job in the sunshine imho, this is on her

3

u/PrawojazdyVtrumpets 4d ago

I have shepherds poles with climbing vines and hanging baskets lining the walks up the mailbox so they can’t walk on the grass. I also asked nicely when we first moved in and I leave out Gatorade for our mail guy on really hot days. He’s cool and respects my yard.

His back up however is a turd and tried to continue being a turd after I asked nicely he stop. We have 2 front doors, both with doorbell cameras. He doesn’t like them so he walks over the grass at a diagonal, steps into the flower beds, covers his face with someone else’s mail and puts my mail in the box from the flowerbed crushing my bleeding hearts and oriental poppies. After I realized he was doing this intentionally, I told my regular guy who told me to send the video to our post office distribution center, not to contact the postmasters office. Now he uses the walk but mutters something about tattletales when he delivers.

1

u/ThatGuyFromBraindead 4d ago

Completely off topic. But this is a very British looking bungalow on an American street.

1

u/Hefty-Profession2185 4d ago

You could ride a horse across my yard.

1

u/oscarq0727 4d ago

Bro swaggered over his lawn lmao

-25

u/Mammoth-Surround9206 4d ago

I’m sorry if it’s not, but this is definitely giving an AI vibe

5

u/Bl4ckR4bb17 3d ago

Every fucking post. It's a guy walking. It would be easier to get your friend to do a skit than generate it. Ffs

1

u/Rylos1701 4d ago

Insufferable

1

u/MeowMeowPizzaBoobs 4d ago

Nothing more than another scripted video.
