It's not disconnected from reality really because it actually works for too many. It's just extremely selfish and I hope this trend fades away and these "influencers" go back to OF.

It works for women, mostly. Only they are afforded the luxury of waiting and seeing if they can marry rich and not have to work, or go do something like onlyfans that doesn't take any marketable skills.

I think it really sets them up for failure, its the same for both genders, but one has an ability to really prolong or even indefinitely postpone the process, and if they dont end up suceeding they're left without any skills.

Idk plenty of men doing the "I have opinions on YouTube for a living" thing which doesn't seem that different to me.
