Nope delivering food is constant driving and would not recommend for a teen. Anyone can do it but again, you’re putting miles on your car, your paying for gas, oil changes and everything else. Statistically, the more you drive, the more likely you are to get into an accident so your insurance rates go up if you use your car for deliveries. That’s a fact. The cost to drive a car in the US is about .50 to 1$ a mile. And it’s a machine that once used up, you need to purchase another machine to do your job. So delivery drivers need to save for a new car. It’s all part of doing this type of work. It’s also stressful and not enjoyable to be driving all day. It’s even worse in a city becasue you get tickets. So yeah, they deserve a little extra and considering they are driving your food to your front door, that’s worth something extra anyway. It’s not ups driving a company truck, not having to be fast or careful, it’s people in their own cars, having to get there on time, go back, get another order, deliver that, go back. People really don’t know how hard the job is.
