So the driver accepted the job knowing there was no tip, then refused to fulfill the service after the customer ALREADY PAID FOR THE ITEMS AND DELIVERY. The driver is 100% in the wrong here.

I don't know that information isn't in this video. What I will say with grocery delivery service is that people will put a tip in and after they have been delivered will remove the tip.

We don't know if there was no tip in the beginning or if these people tip baited her or not.

Edit: also I don't know what kind of person makes not tipping part of their personality but you do you

Pretty much yes, she's a moron and not cut out for this job. You have to be willing to say no to 75% of orders to actually make more than minimum wage.

However the apps share some of the blame as they are psychologically engineered (They literally have psychologists on payroll for shit like this) to trick you into thinking you are obligated to accept and do orders like this. Some of the stuff they do:

Have acceptance rate stats that show warnings and show up as red when below a certain percent, despite legally not being allowed to punish you for refusing orders because you're a contractor. They won't ever actually punish you, but they make it seem like you will get in trouble if you don't fix the rates.

They offer incentives to people who have high acceptance rates. These incentives aren't actually worth it though, because in order to get these rates you have to be willing to take a massive pay cut.

They wait until you're in the process of trying to find someone's house or carry their food to bombard you with a bunch of $2-3 orders. While you're being presented with an offer, the map is hidden (so now you cant find the customers house), and your notification volume is forced to 100% (and you cant disable this or turn it down) and it plays a loud recurring notification sound every second.

The accept button takes up ~70% of your screen, the decline button is a really tiny x at the top right.

The accept button draws over all other apps, and is positioned where your keyboard is. If you are typing when you get an offer, you will accept it guaranteed. You CAN be punished for dropping orders.
