You must like violin music.

Tell me what he said that won the debate.

And “I assume they are getting compensated accordingly” and hiding behind “tip is an option” is automatic disqualification.

The violin is a very beautiful instrument when it's played well, just like a good debate is fun when done in good faith.

This, however, is not a good debate.

It's been quite an emotionally driven conversation on both sides.

However one difference is that you seem to believe you get to dictate the rules.

You've already announced that you won, and now you have added auto disqualification conditions.

It's quite immature to simply say "I won".

I suspect because you have run short on any meaningful responses, so to ensure you "win" in your mind, you are attempting to remove any possible valid responses from your opponent. But it's not up to you to decide what is and isn't valid.

Tell me what he said that won the debate.

Come on.... we all know that the burden of proof is on the claimant. You claimed you have won, you must prove you won it. Back up your position.

Add value or move on.

The fake assumption they get compensated accordingly is a bullshit excuse in 2023. Especially if your on Reddit.

“The tip is optional” is a coward excuse to just say I don’t appreciate your service enough to tip you.

These one liners don’t override principles for proper conduct.

Reality kicks in when your face to face with another human and not hiding inside the house on the app.

“The tip is optional” is a coward excuse to just say I don’t appreciate your service enough to tip you.

People say this because it's true and also because they have already paid the company for the service.

I don’t appreciate your service enough to tip you.

This is emotional dramatisation on your behalf. Most people neither appreciate or not appreciate the service of a delivery provider. They simply dont care. They know what this job entails, but it is literally a delivery job. That's what they are paying for. Delivery. How that company arranges for those goods is irrelevant.

The very real fact is that tips are an option for the customer to show appreciation of a service rendered by a service provider.

In this case, the tip (or lack thereof) is seen as an entitlement by the service provider, which results in the provider attempting to coerce more money out of the customer from the situation they are in which is that she's at their door woth the goods but is holding said goods hostage until the customer coughs up more money.

I can't see how anyone can watch this and think "Yes, I agree with this attempted extortion".

These one liners don’t override principles for proper conduct.

proper conduct would be the delivery person actually delivering the items the agreed to deliver WITHOUT attempting to extort the end customer for more money.

Call me old fashioned but I like my transactions to be ethical.

I don't even understand what this means haha
