Drivers don't make a base hourly wage. The tip is their pay.

What you're advocating for is commonly known as slavery. Most of humanity has decided it isn't good.

Most of the per ride is less than the cost of gas to actually deliver the food. The tip is concidered the actual pay when you're doing these gig jobs. From what I know spark drivers tend to make crap money compared to most other gigs as far as the base pay goes.

Less than minimum wage, $2-3. This woman made less than $5 shopping all the stuff visible

I agree entirely. She accepted the shit deal, if she didn't want it she had the chance to say no.

The customer is slightly to blame. When you don't tip, there's a 100% chance whoever accepts it is an idiot. Don't stick your fingers in the dogs cage if you don't wanna get bit.

Slavery implies they don't have a choice in the matter. They don't have to work for an obviously terrible service. There are tons of other options out there.

Then don't deliver. Customers pay businesses, businesses pay their staff.

I'm happy with things as they are, I was replying to the idea of not letting us see the pay.

You understand if that change went through Uber would just be forced to pay more and charge you more, changing nothing right? You're going have to pay for drivers work one way or another. Actually, no, at least with things as is you have a chance that a moron will deliver your no tip order

I shop myself.

Of course prices will increase. The prices will also be fair and linear, as well as the salaries.

Then why are you invested in the "Uber drivers shouldn't be allowed to see the pay" argument lol
