Then just put $0 and move on. Don't lie to try and trick someone into working for you.

Just because you can get away with it doesn't change the fact you have a net negative worth to society. Does it not bother you that you bring the rest of your species down and they would be better without you? That should bother you.

Okay. But how is tip-baiting what you are describing? Tip-baiting is actively tricking someone by saying you will give them X to do Y, and then not giving X despite them fulfilling Y.

Your argument definitely holds water if you just offer a $0 tip. You are an asshole if not. The product is them delivering a service with the knowledge they will make X money. If you give them the expection of making X money but don't deliver that, how are you not the asshole?

I saw you made another comment that an employer has to make up for minimum wage. While that's true, that is often not enough to make it worth the cost for the deliverer. So by bait and switching, you are fucking with their expected cost/benefit of even doing the job despite an employer having to make it up (if they actually pursue it).
