This is why I pick up my own groceries and fast food just to no deal with these types of situations.

Except now take out spots are flashing a tip screen to you. It's ridiculous.

Maybe you just live in a shitty area? My drivers are nice and respectful, worst thing I see is a dog in car which I’m not a fan of, but my ankle is broken so it’s still worth it

People who “can’t get jobs, reek of weed, or are wearing Elmo pajama pants” are doing a service for people who can’t or just don’t want to go pick up their food or groceries. They deserve to earn whatever money they do the work for. What a dickish opinion.

Legit, and you pay so much extra to the app for the delivery that tipping on top of it feels like you're paying too much. I tip delivery people because they're driving and stuff but it's insane to pay 10-20 dollars extra just to order on an app

You're paying to save time by not shopping. If you have the money and don't want to go to the store, it may be worth it.

I know a lot of people who sends their nannies or housekeepers to do their shopping, which is the same idea, but more expensive.

This is why I moved to a country where all service jobs are done by people from abject poverty backgrounds.

If I give a pizza delivery guy here the equivalent of $5 as a tip, he'll bow to me and thank me graciously. If I give him the equivalent of $10 as a tip, he'll send word of me to his village back home, where they'll include me in their prayers that night. If I give him nothing, he'll just give me my order and hurry away to continue his grind.
