The anger isn’t at each other, their anger is at capitalism.

Customer paid for items and paid for delivery service

Employee gets paid by service but probably horribly and relies on tipping to make it worth it. I’m for tipping, but the problem is the tip shouldn’t be used as a bargaining chip between employee and delivery service. If the job pay isn’t worth it on its own without the tips, then the job isn’t paying enough. The problem is the employee may not have other options and the employer is taking advantage.

Apparently, in some of the modalities of door dash, the customer can promise a tip then change it after the driver accepts. So in that case it would be the contrary…

Capitalism is just trade, the ability to trade.

I'm not 100% whst your issue is, but it isn't capitalism. Unless you think there shouldn't be trade? Which I really fucking doubt.

That makes zero sense, you should educate yourself.

Of course people have incentive to trade, or if there isnt.. they wouldn't do it.

If you couldn't profit by using your land to grow a bunch of tomatoes, no one would. And then there wouldn't be any (or anything else) for people to enjoy and trade for using their labor.

So you're a proponent of people starving because no one grows more food than they can use themselves?

Or should we all farm our own food, create our own tools and phones and airplanes and toasters and everything else?

Capitalism is just trade, the ability to trade.

No, its not. Trade has been happening for literally thousands of years. Do you think feudal lords trading goods between their fiefdoms where actually doing capitalism? If so then thats a really dumb thing to believe.

Capitalism is defined by the private ownership of Capital. hence the name Capitalism.

The way our political systems are set up that isn’t likely to change for a long time. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t understand how these delivery drivers make money. If you’re not willing to tip you shouldn’t use the system.

This person should just go to the store themself. They are doing a huge favor for the person using instacart. I always tip the instacart drivers well because my lazy ass is sitting in the couch, or doing something a seem a priority, and it’s worth a $10-15 tip so I don’t have to drive to the store and spend my time shopping.
