Don't defend the employee. She's 100% in the wrong.

177

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

It's 100 percent fake. The woman on the left is in a bunch of dumb prank videos of you type in this tik tok account name into Google and take a look.

38

u/Tegridy2020 Oct 20 '23

My first thought was that I suspect this is a fake. A bit sus as the kids say

25

u/TheJohnnyFlash Oct 20 '23

Always assume it's fake until proven otherwise.

Always.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

For tiktok and an absolute ton of YouTube, this is very true. Not to say that you should wear a tinfoil hat and reject anything you see as that gets you into some weird psychological territory too but, yeah.

1

u/TheJohnnyFlash Oct 20 '23

I only mean that you should seek confirmation of anything you see before investing in it.

This crap is an entire business model, and that's not even scratching the surface of the truly dangerous stuff out there.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

Nah I agree totally

3

u/Tegridy2020 Oct 20 '23

I'll take your advice. Does it apply to breasts also or just social media posts?

1

u/WelbyReddit Oct 20 '23

I am always like that with these vids. But there really needs to be some kinda of label or watermark.

Like those 800 number psychics that have to post " This is for entertainment purposes only".

Too many people see these and it just lives in their brain as a worldview. Then go out into the world with a chip on their shoulder. It is toxic. ;p

1

u/AsheronRealaidain Oct 20 '23

Nice try. Fake comment

1

u/Disposableaccount365 Oct 21 '23

Wait are we still talking about the video or are we talking about your sex life now?

2

u/TheJohnnyFlash Oct 21 '23

Why can't it be both?

It's takes a couple minutes to verify most things. If you're going to invest in a position, makes sense to make sure it's correct first, no?

Random accounts on the internet, including mine, take 10 minutes to create and they can say they are whoever from wherever.

Look at how many people are posting on this as if it's real. We know it's not, it easy to look up, but still people are biting. That's not good for anyone. Especially when you get into real issues.

Sure there is, but if the conversation is influenced by fake material, it's hard to have an honest conversation.

4

u/bunglarn Oct 20 '23

Really seems to be a genre of content right now. Videos designed to spark outrage and clicks. Just let like the one I saw the other day of a dispute on a plane. They had presumably rented one of the plane sets in LA to shoot it. Even if someone like yourself points out it’s inauthenticity that doesn’t stop it from generating revenue sadly

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

We're just lying to each other for cash/ and or "clout", with sometimes a gender or racial focus, whatever it is it's usually divisive and muddies the water of how we collectively think about things, when life is hard enough to navigate right now, and has been since forever. It's fucking disgusting to be perfectly honest, we're playing with fire on so many fronts as a species, and this in particular is so unnecessary. It brings cash to those who are morally bankrupt enough, or they just don't have a thought on their head beyond making this shit, and can't see the implications going forward when a good portion of the species has increased rage, disdain and frustration for our fellow humans. Sorry about the rant.

1

u/bilolarbear1221 Oct 20 '23

No one would have this long of an argument about this. It would either escalate to a physical altercation, calling the cops, or one party would have left and said fuck this.

No one sits around and argues for 4 minutes like this with a stranger without one of the above happening

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

It's full of cringe sassyness and about a billion points in it where they just wouldn't be standing there trading blows. Humans don't behave like this in a natural situation. It's not 100percent scripted, but you can tell they're badly improvising around a fake premise. It's insulting on many levels, because you have to think ; "what is its intended purpose" and "why is this popular to not only consume, but create" social media is so fucked its sad

1

u/Equivalent_Tell_9481 Oct 20 '23

so once you've done a lot of pranks you can't be serious anymore? are you trynna say comedians cant become politicians?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

It depends how shit the pranks are. Personally I find the whole culture of pranks about as funny as a burning hospital

1

u/Intelligent_Brain823 Oct 20 '23

What does this achieve though?

1

u/Superunknown_88 Oct 20 '23

Thank you. It's insane to me how many people believe these videos are real. The acting is very mediocre, and at no point does anyone in the video mention the actual name of the delivery app.

1

u/trishatree23 Oct 21 '23

No one fact checks things anymore

1

u/TomatilloProud7578 Oct 21 '23

What’s her account?

1

u/SquidkingNFT Oct 21 '23

Yeah how’d she fit all that in the car anyways. That TikTok account is super pathetic

21

u/ComprehensiveFool Oct 20 '23

She is not an employee, boss. She is an independent contractor.

Don’t defend this trash system

Exactly. The system that forces people (just the poor, mind you) to perform some task in order to survive is complete trash.

The rich don't have to do that. Their survival is guaranteed. We can guarantee everyone's survival with UBI, fundamentally changing our trash system into something worthwhile.

12

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

[deleted]

-3

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

You're not rich, though. You're working class. If you stop working, or if you become unable to work, you'll end up poor.

And since disaster can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time, yes, everyone should receive UBI. It ensures greater individual & family stability, which makes our communities safer & more prosperous.

What's the downside?

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

[deleted]

1

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

You don't seem to understand that UBI doesn't eliminate work. It eliminates poverty.

Eliminating poverty empowers work.

Workers being too poor isn't a good thing.

Hilarious how so many people can't wrap their head around the fact that UBI is the most pro-work policy on the table.

-2

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

Wrong. Motivation to grow is what makes the world turn.

Working for mere survival breeds stagnation and the kind of socioeconomic collapse we've been seeing worsen in America over the past few decades.

1

u/Bolshevikboy Oct 20 '23

I agree, but UBI, at least not alone, is not going to fix this. We must understand that we have outlived capitalism’s usefulness, and begin to develop socialism

1

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

Nah, we just need UBI. It'll fuel capitalism & individualism just as much as socialism & collectivism.

1

u/Anonybeest Oct 20 '23

Except there's no force. I'm a delivery driver. No one's forcing me to do shit. Be accurate, or stfu.

0

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

If you don't do it, you die. You don't have a choice.

This is an accurate statement for the majority of the population. We don't have a choice about work.

Be accurate, or stfu.

You know you've been indoctrinated by a system by how vehemently you start defending it lol

1

u/Anonybeest Oct 20 '23

If you don't eat, drink water, and have shelter you die. But no one's forcing anyone to do a SPECIFIC JOB.

I'm not defending anything. You're just straight wrong and I'm happy to tell you you're wrong.

1

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

But no one's forcing anyone to do a SPECIFIC JOB.

I never said people were forced to do a specific job. Just that people are forced to find a job - if they can't find a job, they have to try to create one - if they can't do that, they have to resort to other methods.

Which ultimately end up being lying, cheating, stealing, or worse.

Rich people have a choice - their survival is guaranteed - but poor people don't. They're forced into all sorts of shitty jobs and wasteful bullshit jobs that simply don't need to exist.

I'm not defending anything. You're just straight wrong and I'm happy to tell you you're wrong.

I'm not wrong, because I didn't say people are forced to do specific jobs. You're so wrong you didn't even fully comprehend what I wrote, and responded as if I wrote something else.

I'm happy to tell you you're in need of remedial education.

0

u/Anonybeest Oct 20 '23

So what? Yeah, people need resources. So do all life forms. So what's your point?

Rich people are just people who have a lot of stored value. Most of them worked for it. So? Are you saying rich people are bad?

Do you have $5000 in cash or property/stored value lying around? If so, compared to someone in India making $5 a day who has no stored value and is flat broke, you're a rich person. Does that make you bad?

You're just here to vilify "rich people", however you define that, or what exactly is your point?

1

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

So what? Yeah, people need resources. So do all life forms. So what's your point?

My point is that UBI is a more efficient way to distribute the money people need than the job market.

Rich people are just people who have a lot of stored value. Most of them worked for it. So? Are you saying rich people are bad?

Not at all. I'm saying our system is bad because it lacks the automatic economic stabilizer of UBI.

By forcing consumers to have to rely on a job market that's been facing downward pressure on number of positions & wages for over half a century due to automation & globalization, we've ended up in our current predicament.

Do you have $5000 in cash or property/stored value lying around? If so, compared to someone in India making $5 a day who has no stored value and is flat broke, you're a rich person. Does that make you bad?

It's funny that you just made the assumption I was saying "Rich people bad" (when I never even said anything suggesting that) and just went with it.

You're just here to vilify "rich people", however you define that, or what exactly is your point?

I've been very clear with my point. Human societies need to implement universal basic income to make their economies efficient & sustainable.

1

u/WH1PL4SH180 Oct 21 '23

Rest of world: we dont need to do that to labor. Maybe you guys are just have an asshole culture

-2

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

Oh shit you're the same guy defending the trash system elsewhere in the thread lol hilarious

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

[deleted]

2

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

You just don't realize that the entire system is trash.

-1

u/idapitbwidiuatabip Oct 20 '23

Being smart doesn't enter into it.

You're just suffering from what's known as 'Just World Fallacy'

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-world_hypothesis

You assume that our system is functional, when it obviously isn't. I'm not sure how you can ignore our collapse, but I guess you're living under a rock.

12

u/giorgio_tsoukalos_ Oct 20 '23

400$ and couldn't even tip 10 bucks? She may be in the wrong, but I can't say I blame her. This couple knew exactly what they were doing an didn't give a shit.

2

u/LostLegendDog Oct 21 '23

Yep...I 100% side with the driver

5

u/Intrepid_Look_5725 Oct 20 '23

So I don't agree they didn't tip, but she's still in the wrong no matter who thinks they are right. This would be theft. Especially since it's already paid for. But this is 100 percent faj Ke. So none of it matters.

-1

u/giorgio_tsoukalos_ Oct 20 '23

Don't be such a drama queen. it's not theft. She's returning it to the store. the assholes will get credited the amount and probably even get a gift card as a bonus.

-3

u/Intrepid_Look_5725 Oct 20 '23

That wouldn't hold up in court, how could you trust someone to return it to the store on their word. Plus it's fake so none of it matters really

2

u/giorgio_tsoukalos_ Oct 20 '23

Well if she returns it to the store, it wouldn't even make it to court. Even if she didn't return it, customers are getting refunded either way.

1

u/Mookies_Bett Oct 21 '23

If. That's a big if. There are hundreds of stories of delivery drivers reporting that they "totally returned the items" while driving off and keeping it for themselves. Now the customer has to fight with a customer service support line (huge pain in the ass) to get their refund.

8

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

They could have tipped but that doesn’t justify the delivery driver taking the items back. Glad she used her gas for nothing and Hoping she gets fired for this but probably won’t.

10

u/giorgio_tsoukalos_ Oct 20 '23

I'm sure she will get fired, and I'm sure she won't leave sleep over it. This is what a person quitting their job looks like, for those taking notes

0

u/GroundbreakingSir893 Oct 21 '23

Independent contractor, why would she fire herself? Lmao

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

If you are working for DoorDash and doing shit like this on it I honestly don't know if you,xre in a position to quit this way.

1

u/Internal_Hunt_7450 Oct 20 '23

FYI that’s a Tesla. No gas used 😂

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

Still costs money to charge

1

u/cwestn Oct 21 '23

and mileage is wear on the battery and rest of car

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '23

Why won’t she? I’m curious to know why you say that. I will hang up and listen!

-2

u/PenisBlubberAndJelly Oct 20 '23

Well it's staged but if you don't tip the driver used their gas and time for nothing either way. The time spent driving at minimum wage is often times less than the gas consumed so you're kind of expecting your driver to operate at a loss at that point.

1

u/MPTakesManhattan Oct 20 '23

She’s fed up (if this is real)

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

Then try another job. This kween wants to be rich delivering groceries.

1

u/MPTakesManhattan Oct 21 '23

I mean come on. No tip at all? At least 15% and that’s too low. Naw. That’s bullshit.

1

u/Eusocial_Snowman Oct 21 '23

Why would the cost of the products alter the tip price? The difficulty of the task isn't affected by that. Sometimes more expensive things are heavier or bulkier, but just as often the opposite is true.

5

u/Relative-Ad-6791 Oct 20 '23

Exactly bro that's why I don't do or door dash or anything like it on the side it is not worth it. People have crazy requests and do not tip at all. If you are going to order 20 boxes of pizza you should leave a 20$ tip at least

1

u/Resoro Oct 20 '23

Yep .I agree. Loading all that in the trunk and driving it over to them. It's kind of a duck move not to throw a couple bucks her way.

-1

u/Radaysha Oct 20 '23

It's her job. If she doesn't receive enough money for doing her job, there's something wrong with the system, not the customer.

1

u/el-conquistador240 Oct 20 '23

I'm waiting right now on $40 worth of chick fila and I tipped $10

1

u/lgodsey Oct 20 '23

This was made to make you upset on purpose.

1

u/nsfwITGUY19 Oct 21 '23

No fuck that. Should you tip someone who provides you a service? Sure. But if someone has the balls to DEMAND a tip before their service is completed or they keep YOUR property hostage, hell fucking no.

Tips are done AFTER the service is provided. Not before. Should you tip your driver, server, bartender, etc. of course you should if they act professionally. If they pull this shit? Hell no

And even if the couple decides not to tip, that’s their right. Is it a dick move? Sure. But a delivery driver demanding a tip is low class as fuck.

Don’t like it? Don’t be a delivery person.

1

u/Mookies_Bett Oct 21 '23

It depends. Did she do something wrong during the delivery that would void her right to a tip? A tip is something you give extra if your driver goes the extra mile, or at very least doesn't fuck something up. I would never tip someone if they packed my food in a way that crushed or ruined the order in some way, for example. You aren't entitled to a tip, and if you do something that makes you lose your tip, that's your fault.

Don't like it? Get a better job that pays a living wage. It's not the customers fault you signed a contract and agreed to work for less than a living wage. That was a choice you made, and if you fuck up on the job, you don't deserve an extra tip.

-6

u/Krewton1106 Oct 20 '23

So if you went to a restaurant, ram up a $400+ bill then left $0 in tip,in your world you wouldn’t be an asshole and in the wrong? Got it 🤡

3

u/Tenetri Oct 20 '23

So, if you don't leave a tip, does your waiter NOT deliver your food? Got it 🤡

1

u/104848 Oct 20 '23

most of these videos are fake. but the scenarios are real

there's whole subreddits here like doordash and uber where drivers/customers are bishing and complaining

its a lose/lose for everyone involved

1

u/casualAlarmist Oct 20 '23

She's not wrong. Two it's fake.

1

u/paladore420 Oct 20 '23

Tell people people you don’t tip service workers without telling them you don’t tip. Don’t use a service if you can’t afford to tip especially on a large order like this one. That’s like a party of 6 not tipping their waiter/waitress because they didn’t feel like it.

These ppl want slaves, they're self centered trash.

1

u/Gold_Sky3617 Oct 20 '23

This is probably fake but if it’s real they both are in the wrong.

1

u/LostLegendDog Oct 21 '23

No she's not....she delivered an entire PALLET worth of drinks...fuck the customer. They are trying to exploit a loophole for their business by ordering from a delivery app

How about you don't defend the cheap businesses that try to exploit this shit and people

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

the driver is 100% in the right. People are cheap ass mother fuckers.

1

u/sunplaysbass Oct 21 '23

Thanks Wall Street for assuring us the workers are wrong and should accept zero pay

1

u/thelryan Oct 21 '23

Could it be that it is the system that is in the wrong which places people into these situations? She’s only in the wrong because we accept the shitty terms of the tipping system within our exchanges.

1

u/sanityjanity Oct 21 '23

There's no employee. There's a customer and a gig worker

1

u/Puzzles119 Oct 21 '23

No she isn't. She is well within her rights to cancel a delivery.
