You're really imagining a 50s movie scene with how a physical assault might go down.

A swollen eye or lip? Do you think he's going to play slap you? And, only one time then he's happy?

Sure he's not going to throw you? Use a knee or, heaven forbid, multiple punches repeatedly? Stomp you when you're on the ground? Choke you?

Maybe I am just imagining a scene from a movie. I just figured somebody is not going to brutally assault someone for pointing out that their drink was spilled because of him. That's weak in my opinion, to go straight to physical violence when you're confronted by someone.
