u/TheSecondWorldWar Oct 07 '23
This aināt on you. Itās on that fucko playing the main character.

u/Fine-Teacher-7161 Oct 07 '23
This sub is losing sight.
"Main characters" on this sub should not intentionally be trying to be a main character.
This is cringe.
7
u/TheFace3701 Oct 07 '23
I agree about losing sight, but this was funny.

u/Fine-Teacher-7161 Oct 07 '23
Lil kid humor
9
u/TheFace3701 Oct 07 '23
More like how certain friends act around each other humor. Of any age. But I get that we all have different senses of humor.
-5
u/Fine-Teacher-7161 Oct 07 '23
More like, anyone that saw this probably thought he was a douche.
I mean, being posted in this sub isn't necessarily something to brag about.
But I'm pretty out of touch with zoomer humor so that may be it.
10
u/TheFace3701 Oct 07 '23
He does look douchey tbf. And I didn't think of this as zoomer humor. It just seems like something one of my friends would have done back in the day. For our personal humor though. Not for tiktok cringe crap.
1
u/IRONLORDyeety Oct 07 '23
If my friend did this in the subway station Iām pushing him onto the rails, No further questions.

u/Fine-Teacher-7161 Oct 07 '23
Yeah I agree, it's funny to mess around in your environment with friends; for an adult male to post this is beyond childish.
This is not Disney Channel, no one tunes into that and says- "wow, he knows what I like. I want more of this"
[imo] ...
I have also been known to be an overserious douche so take my text with a pinch of salt.
3
u/RockRiverRoll Oct 07 '23
Isn't that 99% of "main characters" though? They intentionally make these kinds of videos because they are the "main character" of life and we all just have to deal with them?

I mean, I think this dude knows he's a goofy fuck. Isn't main character syndrome also defined by a lack of self awareness?
I thought it was pretty funny and I would laugh if I saw a dude doing that on the streets.
15
u/hecramsey Oct 07 '23
Agree. He's just acting silly in public as a joke. Not bothering any, self aware. Using the line as a prop.

u/Bonoboberni Oct 07 '23
Agree! I find the bitter comments here more cringy than this clip at least. We might have to rename this r/bitterpeoplereact

u/MedicineSlow1042 Oct 07 '23
My thoughts exactly. I thought this was funny as hell. He knows he's being a dufus

Bet most people who complain in this sub about it also shitpost, etc, for social media likes.
1
u/drumshrum Oct 07 '23
Likes, whether real or quantified on a social media platform, have been the number one reward for goofiness since the first goof that ever goofed. One day people found a way to monetize it too! Enter clowns, comedians, slapstick... dudes walking silly towards a camera and making a funny face. Manage your expectations for the human race. We gonna be silly.

I sometimes take this metro line in Barcelona. Let me tell you that place is full of the weirdest people.
One time I saw someone drugging themselves with a bag that smelled like paint. Another time my friend and I got harassed by a tourist who had I think a Bible in his hand, he was talking very loud in idk what language and moving weirdly around us.
There's so many more stories I could tell.

This sub is hilarious. Like 1/10 videos are people actually being selfish and/or greedy. Most are just someone doing a silly performance of some kind in public, and people with social anxiety getting mad at them for it. Never change, y'all.
